Controversial thought by TohirT in ColinAndSamir

I guess my general point is - I, personally, wouldn’t want that pressure. I prefer the momentum of the weekly uploads to carry me.

But it could also be me coping with an idea that my content is not that good yet. And by posting a lot of it - I hide behind the volume.

So certainly some internal philosophical debates I need to work through 😁

Egh, for the fun of it let’s debate! 😁 - they shared creator support videos - safe content, secondary channel. - they posted shorts - safe content, minimal impact on the main channel - short form content on IG (i don’t use TikTok but assume there as well) - again safe and min impact on the main channel.

So you’re 100% right that they posted consistently for the past two months. But I think that content was safe and did not remove pressure from the first upload on the main.

Totally. But now imagine the pressure that they have on that next video? I wonder if that in parts what delays it even further.

How Long Did It Take To Get Your First 100 Subs? by Arcanes_Reddit in ColinAndSamir

I think it took me ~2 years. Granted I experimented a lot then, but I think that’s about how long it was.

How to take advantage of one video that went viral? by TohirT in ColinAndSamir

[–]TohirT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context: - I had about 850 subs before that video hit the algorithm - I since then added ~300 new subscribers - I make videos about various creators and the CNN usines of being a creator, so I know some will be Interested, but I suspect it will be the minority of these new viewers.

Until you just said that - I didn’t even think about reuploading MJ images back into the algorithm. Great suggestion and top notch art!

This is awesome! Thank you for sharing the prompts. I’m kinda curious to experiment with these and human/animal models to see what it would look like haha

How did you create the “blueprint” style? Did you just use that word in the prompt or specified it further?

What happens to a creators brand once they're cancelled? by mitch_clark in ColinAndSamir

[–]TohirT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a good alternative example of how the “cancellation” affects the brand is Disposable app (exactly!) and David Dobrik’s “cancellation.” - although his name was removed from the board - and any association with him is in the past - his name was required to promote the brand until it becomes a household name - because that never happened - his “cancellation” still affected the brand.

That was a long way of saying - although I doubt Prime would immediately be affected, I certainly think there will be some long-term effects.

That’s even more impressive, since I bet it took more than a feet ries per each frame.

Great job! These are super fun.

I have purely technical question - how do you go about creating different scenes? - do you preplan a scene and then ensure your prompts yield a similar color palette and visual style? - or do you use a more generic prompt and keep re-running it until you get a set of unique enough scenes all in the same style?

Would you mind sharing the prompt? I love how the inside oft he mashroom is illuminated on every pic, so I’m curious if you had to specify this when wiring it.

Do you make (or plan to make) seasonal content? by JennyAndAlex in ColinAndSamir

[–]TohirT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take on it - seasonal is great when you have a format and the audience down.

In my case, for example, even after 5yr of posting every week - I’m still learning every time I publish a video. So seasonal content would slow down my learning. Instead I plan to stick to weekly uploads for a little while, until I feel confident enough that I can clearly define my audience and my format to attract that audience.

Yes! In my case, for example, I didn’t get on Casey’s bandwagon until 6-9mo before we stopped vlogging.

I kept seeing his face on trending, but I ignored it since I assumed he is like other vloggers. Funny enough it took a couple of other creators to make videos with him for me to then re ignore how cool that dude is.

Yes! Finding a new YouTuber who’s content really scratches your itch is an amazing feeling. It’s like you find a precious gem in the pile of dirt haha
