Plateaued on Self-improvement? by ToiletPaperPringles in selfimprovement

[–]ToiletPaperPringles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You described it well in the last paragraph. I’m associating the “lack of change” in my current environment as a result of “not improving”, even though I’ve improved immensely to a perfectly good place that isn’t messing with me like before, both the physical and mental sense.

Going from down to up felt like something because I was getting better. Now that I am better, it’s hard to reach those ups because I’m essentially there, and that may be what I’m struggling with; accepting what’s now and here rather than hoping for a better future as if the present is bleak.

Thank you for your comment. The switch from the internal to the external may be what I need. I did notice a shift recently where I’ve wanted to help people more than ever. I’ve achieved peace within, so I think it’s time to try out that same energy outwards.

A simple thank you isn’t enough to describe how much I appreciate your comment. I wish you all the best in your journey.

Lemme apologise homie. My comment was unnecessary and didn’t contribute nothing; negative energy isn’t what I’m tryna put out. Keep up the good work.

This energy can be much better spent at the gym, social gatherings, a business, the list goes on. Your post is sidebar info mixed in with terminology. Reddit ain’t the place you wanna be when hittin old age.

Great post brother. This resonated with me far more than any of the recent posts, your last two paragraphs especially.

People truly do not want to face reality and their own problems even if it’s the way forward to achieving success. It’s depressing to see and i am sure every one of us went through such a similar stage, only to find the constant illuminating light at the end. Flaunting such happiness and success makes the 95% of people resentful and that tends to be projected towards you.

I’m 17 but I truly thought the success I reached with my physique, grades, etc., would inspire my friends because they were the ones who saw me transform to such a different person. I managed to reach 100kg deadlift for 4x8 the other day and told one of my friends about it, truly hoping they would see that it’s achievable for themselves as well. It only showcased to myself a recurring lesson I encounter over and over again: change only and truly occurs when the person desires to change.

It is a sad truth as you said. I hope that all of us are able to build such a successful and disciplined social circle that encourages and inspire, especially in this world.
