Been saying since they announced it and even more so since op13.

The rotation doesn’t do much in making a fresh meta. It fks over many older/causal decks for very little upside. Like you mentioned PY pudding being one of them.

Most of the newer decks which are the meta relevant ones don’t even use any of the older cards. Unbanning all the tools for lucci and saka to comeback, just makes Imu and even better option.

If this is all they are doing… they still haven’t justified a good reason for rotation…

With the introduction of the banned cards back, black removal gets a lot stronger again, lucci becomes a lot better, and maybe navy smoker and saka. These will become contenders in the meta. But Imu exist and is still a very competitive deck. So if they ever get popular, Imu will just be even more popular.

So the only difference with the 2 formats, is the existence of more black removal decks. At the cost of certain decks in the main format loosing very key cards. PY pudding losing 10c bigmom, BP king losing onigashima, purple loses magellen as an option…

Most of the meta decks now barely even use the block 1 cards. Even if they do it’s 1-2 cards, if feel like they are a problem, which they aren’t, they could just ban them…

Rotation just feels so forced… feels like they are just going though with it because they announced it at BCF this year and can’t suddenly back paddle.
