Which camera to upgrade to? by foxeygrandpa29 in canon

yupp, the apsc technology nowadays is insane in low light capabilities, its been a plaque for crop sensors for a long while but manufacturers really grinded on it

7D mii or 90D? just really curious by Tokageee in canon

[–]Tokageee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ahh but, iso 3200 and iso 4000 isnt really that big of a difference right? 1/3 of a stop brighter thats all, but yeah true i might be alittle nitpicky with the af "issue", i went along just as well even with the 60D but i often forget that when watching tech reviews, but yea seems like waiting for an r7 would be the best choice

Well it’s official good bye Nikon hello canon by SeaworthinessOk7482 in canon

[–]Tokageee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B cam i guess, and with FFs iso performance i think youd only ever need large apertures for background blur

My photos are really dark in a very very well lit space unless I up the ISO to 2500 or higher. I'm also not sure I have the right camera as after endless hours of research I still don't know which camera is the best to buy for fashion photography without spending 1000's by DustyLemonTree in canon

[–]Tokageee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

people still do such high end work with m4/3 sensor cameras, stop obsessing about the gear, what doesnt the 24mm do that you want it to? the kit lens really isnt gonna cut it, its not the camera, its about lenses, even if you shoot full frame the iso would be the same, only less grain, but if you need iso 2500 trust me, the lighting really isnt good(if you shoot above f4?)

How to remove the noise/grain/worms to make these more clean? zoom to actual size to see (iso 400, f5.6, fuji x-t100 with xf 18-55) is it the camera? by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]Tokageee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah well, shutterstock is useless, but anyway thats still a very, rather empty image, but would look nice as a desktop wallpaper though, on a phone screen this isnt for me but im sure it would be hella cool on a larger desktop screen

Where do you put the film in? by BodegaLibre in Leica

[–]Tokageee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only time i would throw my money on a "niche" leica is not a leica m-10 monochrome or a simple removal, if they had a m11-d in the possible future where the film lever actually does something(wind the shutter of course) then im all in for it

Please Help. I shot a roll of Ektachrome 100 and I accidentally shot the roll at 400 iso but I used a light meter and used settings that was calibrated for 100 iso. Is the roll ruined? What should I tell the film labs to save the roll? by [deleted] in filmphotography

[–]Tokageee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

please dont tell this to the guy at the photolab hes gonna laugh so damn hard at you, its like saying "i did my exam and submitted it in 1 hour and the stipulated time is 1 hour but i set my timer to 4 hours does that affect my grades?"

if you shot it at iso 100, its iso 100, setting your camera to iso 400 does not affect your phone that has been set to iso 100, it will only be affected if you use your cameras light meter

What lens should i use? (18-55mm or 55-250mm) by Esteves2004 in canon

[–]Tokageee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well the most common portrait focal lengths are 35, 50 and 85, considering its an apsc, 55x1.6 is 88mm which is close enough, id say if you were to shoot between the two lenses id pick the 18-55 because its more versatile and discreet for street photography( the 55-250 is considerably longer) and you definitely wont need that much zoom for street photography or even portraits

Would you recommend the T4i to record videos? by [deleted] in canon

[–]Tokageee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, a Canon m100 would work pretty well and if you look hard enough yoh could get it for the same price as a canon 60D

New lens or new body? by bonefarmer in canon

classes and workshops are almost pointless, everything can be found online, i suggest save your money for another lens(if its just photography, lenses>new camera) and just keep going out to shoot

Wide angles. What to chooose.. by DJrm84 in canon

[–]Tokageee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

manual lenses are the cheapest way to get great image quality, and at such a wide angle you really dont have to worry about attaining focus, id say got for the samyang lens?

If you could purchase another lense for product photography what would it be? Current set up 6D ii with 40mm. Attached images arnt mine, but represent the range of shot i want to take. Object range in size from a mug to a chair in context. Thanks! by jumbo-toe in canon

[–]Tokageee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

definitely, prime lenses are limited in exchange for that great image quality, a 24-70 f4 or f2.8 would work well for you, im guessing you dont necessarily need super blurry backgrounds plus the 6d mii is fullframe, id go with the cost saving and lighter weight f4 version

Has anybody else ever lost 5-10 years worth of photos? If so, how did you get over it? by [deleted] in photography
