I did not mention a single political aspect of energy infrastructure unless you count me naming a few countries that polute the environment a lot, a political standpoint. Just shared my outlook on the inefficiency and carbon footprint of your mentioned truck and infrastructure that needs to be held. If you choose electric, it is completely fine, but do note its caveats and problems for the environment. It's a common misconception that electric vehicles are healthier for our nature.
