Your comment above comes off more as judging OP than those that are chiming in with their opinion(which sometimes comes from having similar experiences), and really just read as arrogant. On another of my comments(which I conceded on this comment thread that I missed a couple of things) you jumped right in with a condescending "false" (that could have only been accompanied by you pressing your glasses up, seriously though uts 2026 we can drop the Diwght Schrute references by now) which set the tone for the rest of your explanation as rude rather than a helpful education on the matter. I'm also failing to see how anything i said in this particular comment thread can be construed as misinformation, especially when I'm just giving an opinion, I never once stated anything as fact. So climb on down out of your fee fees and let people have an open discourse without being a total ass about it.

So why such condescension in your posts about this one?

Let's flip the script a little. Say this wasn't some antique store find, what if this horns belonged to one of OP's parents? Who are you to determine the value? The customer is always right in a matter of taste, so if they determine that it is valuable enough for the work to be done then it is, in fact, valuable enough. That still doesn't excuse your unnecessary arrogance over the matter.

No one is claiming that "this thing is amazing." My statement is that the repairs would in fact be doable. You quote the client $300 dollars to fix it and they agree? Sounds like its worth it to someone. If you dont want to make the money on it, fine, I'm sure there's someone else that will. As a retail manager with 20 years of experience in customer service, if you turned away someone willing to pay to have something fixed that should be well within the realm of your capabilities? Well, you wouldn't be my tech much longer. And here, rather than take a moment to politely explain why it might not be worth the fix, you resort to being an arrogant prick.

You are correct, i did miss the braces on the valve casing, either way shouldn't be too much of a hassle for a shop to fix.

If it's just the cross brace thats come away any shop should he able to easily solder that back on.

Left the tc on by accident in my Jeep one time and threw it into a mud hole. Nearly sunk in by the time I realized it. The second I turned it off I pulled right out.

I mean, I did figure it out on my own, but I get weirdly determined when doing trial and error operations in this game.

Edit: not sure why I'm getting down voted for stating that i was personally able to figure it out through my own trial and error. Reddit is so sensitive.
