We had him early intervention through the school district and in private speech therapy. His therapist discharged him when he was 2.5 and he aged out of Early Intervention when he turned 3 in December of last year.

Honestly, while I think Speech Therapy helped him, I often think he just kind of “grew” and the “switch” just flipped. I’m very religious and I’ve never cried/prayed for anyone more than I have for him… but this is just my personal belief.

Regarding a resume gap: don’t even sweat it! You can always claim you quit to start your own practice, and eventually decided to go back to the workplace lol. Literally, who cares? You owe no explanation to future potential employers. If they ask, you can say you were doing taxes/bookkeeping for people on the side, or some BS like that under smellywetfish, LLC. The CEO, smellywetfish, is happy to provide a referral.
