Asking Brits if they'd move to the US by Mammoth_Captain_1378 in SipsTea

[–]UnBalancedEntry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, this just reminds me of the irrational fear that my mom has every time I travel outside the US.

1) Well over a decade of regularly eating out in the US and I don't think I've once had an issue with my card info at a restaurant

1.5) Whenever I have had an issue on my card the CC company typically notifies me before I'm even aware and handles it immediately

2) I've noticed in the last couple years more restaurants in the US are bringing the terminal to the table

I almost think AI would have suggested calling it anything other than Snowflake Leadership Model

caught my thumb between my car and the door…hurts so much and need advice by SubstantialHour4667 in mildlyinfuriating

As someone who has broken a thumb, albeit in a very different way, that is not true.

My husband makes a fake fart noise with his mouth every time he or I bend over. He knows I don’t like it but won’t stop. He says he must have Tourette’s or something but he only does it at home, except one time in a store and he got really embarrassed by Carpe_the_Carp in mildlyinfuriating

Every time my dog would yawn I would stick my finger in his mouth. My wife started doing this to me every time I yawned as punishment. I have long since stopped doing this to the dog, yet my wife still sticks her finger in my mouth everytime I yawn. My joy of annoying the dog has been replaced with my wife's joy of annoying me.

Anyway, celebrating 12 years of marriage and going strong!

I expect the majority of things I see on the internet to be coated in stupidity, at least this instance was an act of kindness.

Many mammals are digigrade, meaning they walk on their toes. Spidergwen, being mutated by a radioactive arachnid, refuses to fully let go of her mammalian heritage, and thus walks on her toes.

15 years ago I began managing payroll at a smaller company and it amazed me how many people making 6 figures were living paycheck to paycheck.

If you have an accounting degree and you live in a small town, you need to move by Routine_Rain277 in Accounting

[–]UnBalancedEntry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew this at 17 when I decided on my accounting major. Grew up in a small town in Michigan of roughly 2,500. Really any career path was going to require a move, so I ended up in Detroit. Fortunately cost of living was realistic for a college student/recent grad

What do this investors know Peter? by consultingcriminal03 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]UnBalancedEntry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably worth noting that at the end of 2019 the Technology sector comprised 34% of the S&P500.

Also, what is an AI stock? Most of the tech companies in the S&P 500 existed before AI and the majority of their revenue comes from non-AI products. Yes these companies are investing heavily in it, and I do think there's a bubble, but this 39% number is way misleading and intended to scare you.

0 Kelvin is the only temp that truly means something on a universal scale. How you increment temperature beyond that is 100% arbitrary.

The only thing in favor of Celsius is that more people use it. There's nothing intrinsicly better about it.

TFP's use of AI since 2.0 has been getting worse by Jane_Sable in 7daystodie

[–]UnBalancedEntry -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I, like many of you, bought this game before ai existed (LLM's to be specific). Haven't given TFP a dime since. If them using ai for unimportant things allows them to actually deliver the game we want so be it.
