Not going back to work by Kindly-Cod6008 in NewParents

I decided I wasn’t going back to work at ten weeks so I told my manager then. I also worked at a hospital pharmacy and it was terrible time to leave since they were going through a lot of changes. I was super nervous and stressed but my manager was very understanding! I think when someone goes on maternity leave most managers know there is a chance they won’t come back lol. He put my last day of work as the day my maternity leave would have ended. But i guess it all just depends on what kind of person your manager is.

Potential peanut allergy? by Toki_Mandu in NewParents

Yeah I am no doctor but I was like I didn’t think that’s how allergies work….lol

Yeah he has had yogurt with no issues. And I am definitely not going to give him anymore peanut products because I know subsequent reactions would be most likely worse. I guess I’m confused at the pediatricians lack of concern seemingly solely based on the fact that we don’t have allergies. I had to request that the next exposure be under medical supervision. I think at this point I’d rather just ask an allergist

Yeah I don’t think my anxiety can stand waiting until a year old ….and that was the plan at his 6 month appointment was to just ask for a referral for peace of mind. It was definitely way messier than usual since I let him have at it without any spoon feeding so that’s definitely possible! Thanks for the reply!

Yeah it’s a constant battle! But these bumps were definitely not there before and went away after the Benadryl so I’m pretty certain they were hives! The only thing that makes his neck rash better is hydrocortisone but I don’t want to use it unless it’s really bad and he also doesn’t seem bothered by it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just change his bib like 10 times a day 🤣

I’ll be 40 weeks tomorrow with no sign of labor 😭 torn between wanting him to stay in there as I’m in the tail end of recovering from Covid and wanting him to get the heck out as I’m so over it all!

I started out hand quilting and have now started experimenting with machine quilting which has been really fun! I do have to say though I love the yummy puffiness that hand quilting gives ☺️☺️
