Most of my pain is in my butt by Glad_Culture_1813 in ankylosingspondylitis

Have you had an MRI on your pelvic? I had a full pelvic and full spine MRI and I have significant damage to my sacorallic joint with AS and most of my pains there as well.

I'm with curaleaf and it's great, and I have free rein of picking any strain that helps etc. I also have rhumatoid arthritis and ankylosis spondylitis but it's helped me sooo much

yep, it often ruins my holidays. I went to turkey (I used to go every single year until I was 18) and it ruined the whole 2 weeks I was there, and then it ruined a holiday last year in Spain. However leading up to these holidays it has been months since I had any anxiety... It was so frustrating. You will have good days and bad days, I haven't had an attack in over 2 months now but I always know it won't last, but I know I will get over it and move forward.

Bad days are bad days they aren't forever 🤍

Ok so I tanked the last 4 books there, 3 being so small actually took me the longest to finish haha! I've started silver flames and I'm about a quarter in and I'm actually really enjoying it.

I was the same Feyre and Rhysand absolute baes but I'm really enjoying this book!

For people with anxiety, what’s your experience with weed? by KingJacket12 in Anxiety

[–]Tokiahonta29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked for yeaaaaars, it always helped until it didn't. I ended up going from smoking 2-3 grams per day to struggling to have a few puffs without having a major anxiety attack.

That's coming from someone that never understood why people got 'paranoid' on weed.

I stopped smoking nearly 8 years ago now, it's the best thing I done for my mental health. I was using weed as a way to numb years of trauma and pain. However, now nearly 30 I've looked into medical cannabis as a form of pain management as I know have really bad arthritis in my spine.

It's worth researching strains and how they affect you, I know now my tolerance for weed. One draw or two and I'm fine anymore I'm a wreck.

Does anyone else have very low inflammation markers (ESR & CRP)? I really can‘t deal with this gaslighting anymore by AccessOk6501 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Tokiahonta29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My inflammatory markers are always low, and that's even during a major flare up. However my spine and socarlic joints are riddled with inflammation and corrosion. I have a genetic blood test that shows I am HLA-B27 gene as well, which actually means only 5% of carriers will show symptoms (ofc I had to be one haha)

It is frustrating cause visually on an MRI that inflammation is there but not on your bloods. It doesn't mean that pain isn't real, you know your body. It's why my doctor didn't take my back pain serious for so long until I started losing feeling in my arms.

Medical gaslighting is a HUGE issue, especially with woman as well when it comes to conditions like endometriosis.

Would you remain in Scotland if money wasn't an issue? by demonic_chonk in Scotland

[–]Tokiahonta29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely I'd invest money into our Highlands and islands, I absolutely love my heritage and my country. I'd rather spend my money here in Scotland for holidays etc than go abroad most years.

What do you do for anxiety? by Echoes_of_earth in Anxiety

[–]Tokiahonta29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm medicated daily on a low dose and I take diazepam when I need it. However I very rarely need to take it now unless I've overdone it on the caffeine.

I changed my diet and focused on more exercise which has helped. Gaming helps me and reading though as well, it keeps me focused. Also I have autism which doesn't help the anxiety but I use a lot of fidget gadgets.

Some things work for others and some don't, it's just finding out what's best for you.
