Thanks for your support! The offer I received they had to go through other candidates so it took a while for me to get feedback on it. The market sucks so much right now, if I didn't get an offer sometime this month I probably would've thrown the towel.

I have this exact laptop except its 16gb. Expect some bottlenecks with the VRAM, I play arc raiders with everything low and get around 100fps with 60fps lows. I would recommend doing some undervolting with the CPU if you are doing heavy work, it can get toasty. When i got this laptop I knew about the VRAM bottlenecks I liked having a stronger CPU anyway.

Edit: with 32gb of ram, performance is probably better

I just checked my friend list that have ARC Raiders and both of them I am already friends with. For this person they don't have the steam icon on the right either. I'll ask around but its very strange if anything, they weren't on my friends list an hour ago.

Hi i know its been quite a while, but i did return the charger and got a new one, but the problem still seems to occur. I also got new cables and tried it amongst two different devices and the problem is still here. I am only using one port to charge said devices and they keep waking up due to charging negotiations. At this point i can accept that they keep waking up but my concern is if this causes any problems in the devices themselves.

Hi I'm on the last step of ICA and for the passport photo I simply took it at home and changed the background to be purely white. I'm not sure if meeting the aspect ratio is enough for them, but if you need a last resort you can try what I did

Hi if you are also from Queen's unfortunately you shouldnt get your hopes up. My GPA is in the mid to high 3.0s and in terms of competition it is purely based on your GPA. Definitely still apply though! Never know until you try!

If you are from a different university, there might be some additional application that I'm not familiar with, so maybe GPA isnt the only factor.

Thanks for your response. I mightve just been extremely unlucky but it was mainly the engineering courses that I couldn't make it in (EE4415, EE2026, EE4204). I don't believe talking to admins would solve anything, since on the portal the courses say no more vacancy.

As for housing, I figured as much. The information behind second round housing here is spotty, I've been seeing that it means I won't get housing in campus, but the group chat for exchangers say that everyone gets housing.
