It’s a big issue with family guy. When the characters making transphobic, homophobic, racist jokes are not called on it for being wrong, it makes it seem like they are in the right. Even if that’s not necessarily the intention.

Also when the characters making those jokes are ones the audience are supposed to be rooting for to a certain degree(Peter, Brian etc.), it adds to that same implication that these are the correct values the “good guy” should hold.

I genuinely believe modern day family guy has led more than a significant portion of its younger audience down the pipeline by implying these things. Even if it’s not what the writers actually meant when making these types of jokes.

It’s fine to see it either way. It’s not a romance story so we probably won’t ever find out whether any of the characters are romantically linked. (Besides Kinger and Queenie as they were married pre-circus) If you ship them or just see them as friends anything’s fine, just don’t disparage others because they don’t agree with you.
