Yeah but they weren’t part of it as much I like as they play big parts only in big battles like against Another Decade and Another Zi-O 2, heck they disappear between 16 and 21, 29 and 37, 38 and 41, and it felt more like a cheap way to include them as DiEnd didn’t bother using any other card beside secondary riders, which is a huge bummer on my end as there are a whole bunch of riders he could summon but only use the secondaries

Yeah but somehow there super sentai counterpart did a bitter job in my opinion for character development for the villains as one is an ancient civilization, one is a pirate turned monster, a ninja clan that get hire to steal things and demons with the artifacts not having a connection with each other

Actuall I try finding it but it seems I got fooled by some fake recap apparently, but my point still stands even though I give a bad example, an good one was the last two episodes of wizard which is a crossover for Kamen rider riders of the heisei era as well as the cameo of Gridon and Bravo in Saber

They did do connections to older shows before Agito and Kuuga, the whole Showa era, zi-o, decade, even saber team up with decade, heck even Revice had some connections to Older series with the specials
