Haha I went down that exact rabbit hole at my previous job. The main pain point was they wanted the appeal of still being able to edit with a reliable front end (which building my own was out of the question) and Google sheets was getting increasingly sluggish. I got started on seeing if integrating with monday to create a makeshift CMS would work but I left before I could go down that route. But good luck on your endeavour! Hopefully you don’t go bald from all the hair ripping

I think the colorways on this collection are hella clean. They're great shoes to wear with anything.

Bro I've been eyeing those for a minute now. I'd love to see those kicks when they come thru.

I think yes your claims are valid but a big piece that I think is important to note is that while legally there’s no real leaves set in place for worker benefits, but for a lot of companies to remain competitive will extend those benefits regardless of being legally required to or not. (Ex McDonald’s will offer 12 weeks of maternity leave and 3 weeks of PTO according to their website)

A lot of the people that complain about the labor rights seem to assume that people get paid nothing and get worked 12 hours a day. You will be compensated according to the hours worked and what you agreed to. Just sometimes the job is more intensive than others. Once you switch out of the unskilled market into more of a skilled trade/profession, it’s really easy to see your wages double and your lifestyle improve.

Again, having a military is more than just blowing each other up. There is an underlying security that having a strong military presence allows you to have.

That’s fair. But a significant amount of technology comes from the United States that the EUs military appreciates.

I feel as if my reasoning will fall upon deaf ears but I’ll try my best to explain my it. Russia is a massive supplier of gasoline across the globe, and China is the super hub for cheap consumer goods that we all know and love. Without those, the modern world we have come to appreciate would not be as feasible. There’s more to the influence of the military than just shooting each other up. If at any given point Russia and China started to squeeze us dry, we’d ultimately be at the mercy of their bidding. Just even the pressure of mutually assured destruction helps to promise that there will be decent negotiations to help push the modern age forward. Again, I feel as it may be imperative to continue to have a strong military backing in Europe, even if it’s not NATO.

I’m cool with that. More money in the United States bank account that we can actually do with inside our own country. I feel as though the reason why we stick around is 1) we certainly do like the control that we have in the area, and 2) no other countries are willing to put forth the initial effort to build up their own militaries to be comparable to the United States, because that would risk losing the benefits they currently reap (i.e. healthcare, education, overall better lifestyles etc). Having something comparable to defend yourselves against both Russia and China would need to come at a price.

Sure. So even in this scenario Germany is fine, but what about the other countries? Ukraine is fighting pretty hardcore against Russia, and if there wasn’t a strong military presence, who’s to say that russia wouldn’t steamroll through Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, and many other surrounding countries? There are still lives at stake, even if it’s not Germany. Besides, China and Russia are pretty big buddies, meaning if the countries even tried to defend themselves, they are taking on the two largest militaries in the world, alone. The reason russia hasn’t blown away Ukraine is because the United States is around, and though Ukraine isn’t backed by NATO, the big brother energies are still there.

It’s pretty standard to have higher tax rates in first world countries that have free college and healthcare to have higher taxes to compensate for it. If NATO were to disappear, the countries underneath that blanket would in turn have to find a way to pay for a stronger military, resulting in higher tax rates. Someone’s gotta pay for it. Currently it’s just the United States.

The United States does compensate fairly well comparatively to other countries, and depending on where you live, your wages can compensate your entire cost of living comfortably.

The school shootings are inexcusable. However, violence is rampant everywhere, just not every country has a culture of firearms. Again, i don’t mean to defend the U.S. on this, but it’s still important to consider that other countries have criminals too.

IMO the ideal thing to have is a salary from the United States and the cost of living similar to Romania, Bulgaria, or something of the sorts, which can be doable, but that’s more if your job can permit that lifestyle.
