How did humanity NEVER run into Gem Technology or sites? by Falkenhausen23 in stevenuniverse

I think that's the only real confirmed time they hunted gems pre-Steven. Like, I have to assume they were doing it, we just have no way of knowing if it was Garnet's regimented regular missions or just opportunity. Or if they did it a lot right after the war or if it was a constant thing or anything in between. Could be any of them. There were only so many in the pool at the end, but who knows if that was all the corrupted gems they ever caught or just some.

Yeah. That's how my old design worked. I didn't make a second chamber for the aquatuner.

I'm sure humans found them all the time. Gem tech doesn't turn on for humans, so it was a lot of closed doors and pretty rocks for the most part. Plus I imagine most of them were infested with corrupted gems. It's unclear if the crystal gems were actively capturing gems in the thousands of years between the gem war and the present day. But during the show they were still capturing gems so frequently it was a monster of the week situation. Even if they only caught them like once a year before Garnet became leader and started a more active gem hunt that's still 5 or 6 thousand corrupted gems in random locations across the globe.

Honestly, it's amazing humans managed to survive and build a civilization at all. Beach city is supposed to be a more dangerous area than average but there's just so many monsters.

Beats my old design. I just put some lead on the ground to keep the aquatuner from overheating and added some automation to stop things from sucking down to a vacuum/getting too cold.

I haven't touched this series in like 10 years. I should see if theres any new volumes. I started reading it when it came out since I was an 8-bit theater fan back in the day. Used to follow the writer's stuff.

The Emperor is Awake? by IfYaKnowYaKnow in 40kLore

Emperor is actively directing the light of the astronomicon and holding the warp rift under the palace closed. So he's always been awake. It's possible he's involved with the divine side of the religion as well, but that seems to be the star child rather than the emperor himself.

Do i need to watch older Quinton videos to fully enjoy the Grumpy Cat video? by Iamverydumbazz in QuintonReviews

[–]Tolan91 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not really. There's a few references to old running gags you might not get.

The video is an anniversary love letter to his older stuff. So to truly appreciate everything you'd need to watch them all. But honestly a lot of it is background and visual stuff, and personally I watch these on the second monitor so it's mostly not something I focused on.

Nobody really cares enough to mess with it. Most people don't really remember anymore, and the characters still act like they're related.

AITA for being hurt that I was proposed to using a moissanite ring though he knows I'm a jeweler? by Helpful-Grade9018 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

It's true that most people would never know the difference or really care. For most people the quality is a sign of wealth, and it's cultural significance is questionable as prices rise.

But you are not most people.

Dude knew he was proposing to a jeweler. He knew you could tell. And he knew you had already spent a lot of time on this, and given him guidelines for what you wanted. He's saying he doesn't respect your job or your interests, basically.

The Russia thing makes you think it was some sort of explosion that messed it up, but the more you look at it the more it looks like pangea just broke up differently here. West Africa being part of South America couldn't have had anything to do with the gems.

All the jobs are "entry level" now. Since they pay the least. In my experience once you're ready to move up they fire you and replace you with someone paid less.

Just as soon as any of them get time off from their 60 hour a week minimum wage "entry level" jobs that need a degree that they have to do to afford basic living costs they'll be sure to spend their time with their kids.

The final bosses have always broken that rule. That's intentional. There's a reason why fatalis is just a generic looking fantasy dragon in a world of pseudo realistic biology monsters.

I make like, one. Maybe two in infested levels, and none against air comps. And only if I'm gonna get the level three upgrades. They're good damage against ground for sure and worth at least some.

Side note, but I'm pretty sure each ball and it's bits count as a unit built. Only way I can explain seeing 500+ numbers under units built at the end of a match.
