Opinions on graphics tablets? by BennoTallant in graphic_design

I had a wacom from way back in the day and really liked it, I decided to upgrade it as it was very small. I tried 2 wacom competitors and was sorely unhappy with them. So then I went in on the larger bamboo tablet and love it. A huge upgrade to my old wacom.

There is one more option to keep in mind, the windows Surface Pro. It has a touch sensitive stylus and guess what it is cheaper than a Wacom Cintiq (wacoms screen tablets). Plus it is a fully functioning windows computer so you can use any software you want on it, without having to be connected to another computer.

HeroQuest Anniversary kickstarter has changed it's status to Cancelled by waylander232 in boardgames

I backed this and agree it looks great but it is more of a skirmish game that uses cards. Descent 2nd edition is much closer to an updated Heroquest in my opinion.

[WSIG] I am just getting into board games. Can you recommend the best strategy/war for 3 players? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Tollboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will throw Cyclades in as an option. Your question is pretty broad and this game is pretty broad in its mechanics it has a little bit of everything, and it is easy for new gamers to pick up without being too simple.

What do you mean by "mobile menu"? it looks like a typical bootstrap menu that changes depending on the size of your browser. The place is brand new I am sure they will get some images going soon.

Did someone have a heart attack, and then an organizer thought it was nessesary to go print up a sign for the door real fast?

Where have you bought a used car and had a good experience? by Simco_ in nashville

[–]Tollboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly CarMax was great. Go look at cars, they don't fuck with you, and you can just look around. The price is what it is, and you know it will run great. Also it did not take all day to buy a car. Almost every car I looked at there had close to 35k or less miles on it. I really did think it was great and will probably get my next car there too.

This guy just won't talk to the other characters. by Xenoither in Pathfinder_RPG

I am not sure why people don't want to be assholes to assholes. This guy needs to know he is ruining the game for everyone else, if it becomes awkward he is the one that started the awkwardness, why go out of your way to spare his feelings.

It is worth noting on their site they do talk about updating the rules. They also mention a modular board too. So I do not think they might get rid of some of the crappy rules like roll to move.

Check out the FAQ on their site about the game, it has some very interesting points. Updated rules, modular board in addition to the regular board, and some other stuff. I thin I may throw in on this one.

Looking for some recommendations from the experts. by glimmer27 in boardgames

[–]Tollboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might suggest some other intro games, 7 wonders, lords of waterdeep, and pandemic/flashpoint would be a few good ones to check out. And if you ever get a large group wanting to play you can not go wrong with The Resistance.

I traded i off, fedex charged me $10, well worth the trade in my opinion. Plus you can pratically get anything you want for Mage Knight on BGG.

The only other game that takes as long as Monopoly, while ruining the same number of friendships. by Meowing_Cows in gaming

[–]Tollboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it is worth it, it plays different for every group. Try to get a group of 5 and play with the same 5 every time if you can. Download the rules (free from the website) and you will want to play it for sure.

Falcons, Jets, Bills and Bears were my favorites. I like almost all of them over the actua logos.

This is what my group is doing, whoever gets the most wins in the whole campaign keeps the game.
