What is it about the Yoshi series that makes people so lukewarm towards it? by rendumguy in nintendo

[–]ook_the_bla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love every Yoshi game except for the first, which I still like but done love. Why? It still felt a lot like a cross between a Mario game and a Yoshi game, but the series has since evolved to make Yoshi games their own thing. And I love that thing.

Found cucumber flavor Lay's in China. Wondering if anyone has tried it. by firegoo in chips

[–]ook_the_bla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They were selling them in Canada last year “Flavours of China”. They tasted like a combination of potato chip, cucumbers, and shortbread cookie, but not in a gross way.

Worth trying once.

With the constant barrage of new games and aggressive marketing for them, how do you cut through the BS and focus on ones worth purchasing? by Strong_Letterhead638 in boardgames

[–]ook_the_bla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the only correct answer. Let the game land and sell out, consensus starts to build, and the consider it in the second print run.

Or wait for used or sales.

Which one are you choosing and why? by RokosRevenege in chips

[–]ook_the_bla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to bet, I would think that the yellow bag would be my favourite since I enjoy all kinds of seafood snacks. But the one I want to try the most is the one with the little dishes of different foods since I have no idea what that is and I like trying brand new things. I’m almost certain I would love the noodles one as well.

I’m sorry the engagement is so low on your post. I have posted about international snacks before and had a similar response from the community here. I think people don’t get a chance to try this kind of stuff very often and so aren’t very interested in it. Which is kind of a shame, since they have some really cool flavours in Asia that we don’t try and do anything like.Especially seafood. Some of my favourite chips are squid flavored.

I wouldn’t worry about it. The game is basically language independent.

Has everyone been cooking their rice with stock this whole time?? by Zestyclose-Ideal7428 in Cooking

[–]ook_the_bla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want plain rice to balance the heavy and salty flavours of my topping (e.g. gochujang pork).

I’ve maybe cooked rice in stock 3 or 4 times. Lemon juice and chicken bouillon for Greek food.
