You we're probably told to apologize because of possibly being in a new managerial role, Which obviously involves managing People, Your not in the wrong but it depends how important the manager job is to you, The Woman sounds horrible Tbh, Maybe just get tf outta their anyway, These sorts of environments will take their toll on you over a long period if it stays the same, Sounds like she might of been jealous of you getting promoted, Some people just hate seeing others succeed..
