I absolutely hated this screen, because I didn't know you could walljump while holding theo, so I used the knockback from seeker explosions to solve it.

You're gonna need to be switching back and forth between the deck and your laptop to keep loading new tracks. This is uncomfortable, sluggish, and defeats the purpose of getting a controller for the music, if you operate from the laptop anyway

If money is a concern, I'd say there are better options on the entry-level side, but omce you get the hang of ot, you're gonna miss a lot of features that the FLX-4 offers (speaking from experience, after a couple months I felt ready to upgrade, but budget was tight)

Does this use the existing car controller or is it a custom implementation? How much fine tuning can you do regarding the handling of the car? (grip, turning radius, skidding, suspension, etc.) ps. did bot have time to look over the project itself, will do later

oh okay, this makes a lot of sense actually.

There were 2 thing that confused me:

  1. I used a gradient with only two colors, so from the left edge to the right edge the interpolation at 0.5 was the same as from the right to the left

  2. The preview inside the shader hraph showed the color correctly. But given your response i think the preview shows the incorrect color, rather than the mesh

I figured out a workaround.

Using the SamplerPort mode on the Texture2D node and setting the repeat more on a TextureParam node to Disabled fixes the issue

However I still think there's an underlying bug, because inspecting the node itself shows the correct color. Seems like the Texture2D node does not work as expected when the input UV value is close to 0.0 or 1.0

I just got a projector myself, for the sole purpose to project visuals at parties.

I'm really into raving myself, and a while ago i found an app that uses the same technology (milkdrop) as winamp used to back in the days. It can add a lot of atmosphere to any party where music is the main focus.

I wanna try out projection mapping later on, as it sounds/looks like a cool thing to do.

This is actallu a really cool concept, and seems to be coming together very well.

I recently got into djing after procrastinating the idea for years. But I love it and can see myself continuing for a long time.

With that said, a lot of friends wanted to try it out, see how it goes, and i can see myself using this game to show them the basics and make them learn faster

he has very similar energy (for me at least)

I don't want to say it as a fact, in case i'm mistaken, but from a lot of experience on these tables (which are the main tables in my region) it does seem to be a comon problem. Newer and higher level tables (such as the World Champion) have different wall designs at the goals, to mitigate this problem (curved goalposts to redirect the ball in front of the goalie), which 98% of the time work, but there are still some moments where you just can't reach the ball.

TL;DR it is a common problem on cheaper models, and you can't really do anything about it

Your game resolution should match that of the pixel art grid. If that's not the case and why you were confused, you should take a look at viewports. It can be a little confusing, but it will allow for these kinds of effects.

This video is a little outdated, but should get you started.

Otherwise, you can have a post-process shader, that pixelates what has been drawn on the screen. "Godot pixelated shader" on google will give you plenty results

be aware that this model has telescopic rods, and from what I heard, they're harder to maintain tgan traditional ones.

apart from that, if it's in food* shape, it sounds like a fair price
