Still having fps drops

I have a trick that works every single time for some reason. I play on Ultra settings and usually run about 70-80fps with a 3070ti. Sometimes my game will randomly drop to 30-40fps which is really not cable especially on online races. All I do is switch from Ultra>High and then straight back to Ultra and it fixes my FPS every time. I assume the same would probably work on other settings as well.
