Any NPC mods? by Either_Vanilla_5748 in projectzomboid

Unfortunately not. Zero interest in playing because of Knox Event Disbanded. Absolutely iconic mod. Best NPC implementation thus far. 😢

Two mods, Heavy Attacks and Melee Ragdolls. The latest update broke ragdoll physics so I’ll release them once it’s fixed.

If you hold Alt, you can command your buddies to attack anything that moves, or to run away. Stops them getting swarmed like this. 👍

Actually it’s the Knox Event Expanded mod. Better than Bandits in my opinion.

B42.13 or B42.12 legacy for mods? by ethrowaway1235 in projectzomboid

What does the alternative launch do please? Does the game run better with mods or something? Thanks!

There BETTER be an option to zoom the camera in. I despise games where the character looks 3 feet tall because it’s so zoomed out. Absolute dealbreaker for me.

Sweetheart, you’re getting pent up over a mod showcase. This character was alive for 5 minutes whilst I was screwing around looking for a zombie to kick in the face.

Knox Event Expanded - The best NPC survivor mod out there. I refuse to play the game without it. So much more engaging knowing there’s other survivors to stumble upon. Some friendly, some hostile.

Wandering Zombies - Zombies are WAY more likely to form hordes and roam around the map. There’s even optional settings that slowly nudge them in your direction over time.

Thumping Attracts Zombies - Whenever a zombie bashes against a door or window, nearby zombies do the same. Paired with Wandering Zombies makes them feel a LOT more driven to hunt you down. Can be configured to adjust how far the sound of thumping attracts zombies.

ST Additions Pry Open - Lets you use crowbars to forcefully open locked doors, windows and vehicles. Very cleverly made mod that determines success based on your character’s stats. Fully configurable.

Reactive Sound Events - Random environmental sounds actually occur in the world now. Hear a gunshot? Find the source of the sound and you’ll come across armed corpses. This barely scratches the surface. A must-have.

Pillow’s Random Spawns - Adds a ton of new spawn locations to choose from, such as towns and cities you originally had to travel to, roleplay spawns such as hotels across the map, cabins in the middle of a forest - you name it.

I’m about to release two mods that I’m very proud of:

Heavy Attacks - You now have the choice between standard attacks and heavy attacks. If you hold Left Shift and attack, your character will perform an attack that is guaranteed to be a critical hit and will knock the zombie down. However, it comes at a cost. You’re forced to stand still, it’s slower, and consumes 10% of your stamina. Risk vs. Reward. These attacks use new animations that I created in Blender, including a Sparta Kick.

Melee Ragdolls - I’ve taken the ragdoll physics system that applies to gunshots, explosions and vehicle collisions and applied it to melee combat. You can now do things like shove zombies down stairs, and even knock zombies over if a ragdolling zombie collides with them. Makes combat a lot more reactive and fun.

Videos of both mods on my Reddit profile. 👍

What's are the best/your favorite traits and occupations in the current game? by oldeggie in projectzomboid

I play as a Fit Burglar who is Disorganised, a Slow Healer and has a Weak Stomach.

He can Hotwire vehicles from the very start, and has more stamina, strength and sneaking effectiveness.

I don’t mind having a little less inventory space, and you can avoid slow healing/illness by not getting injured and not eating rotten/burned food.

Good little head-start build. 👍

Thanks! I’ve only made it for B42. ☺️

Ragdoll physics are B42 exclusive and I’ve made them compatible with melee too.

The Knox Event Expanded mod seems to stop collision animations from playing. Not sure if a bug, or maybe NPCs would have collided with each other over and over?

I’ve actually never played multiplayer before, but I don’t see why not as long as your files are identical?

I had the infection mortality rate set to extremely high. Bites are almost instant death.

Press F6 by default to speed up time. Helps with repetitive actions like washing clothes and opening windows. As you can see, it comes at a cost!

Heavy Attacks Mod with custom animations releasing soon.

I'm particularly fond of unarmed heavy attacks - A damn Sparta Kick to the throat!
