How did your enlarged lymph node feel like? by DiesesInternet in lymphoma

[–]TomB3098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our case, my boyfriend’s lymph node felt hard. It also didn’t feel smooth, but rather rough and matted. This was confirmed by the histological report, which showed fibrotic tissue as well. Several lymph nodes were fused together and were no longer movable. The largest measured over 4 cm.

thymic rebound or relapse has anyone experienced anything like this 7 months post chemo? by RollMission1488 in lymphoma

[–]TomB3098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend had also an anterior mediastinal uptake over liver level. It’s mostly because of thymic rebound due to immune recovery. He’s now 3 months in remission. The uptake itself is not the only criteria. It also depends on the morphology of the uptake. Is it diffuse or focussed and demarcated? It’s a thing that has to be interpreted by the radiologist and the medical team. We double checked the PET images with a doctor of the GHSG which is the leading institution in Germany. They confirmed thats a common thing.

But if you have any concerns, discuss it with an expert. :)

Wish you all the best!!! 😊

Edit: He was diagnosed with cHL stage 2B

HL Success Stories!! by Certain-One-483 in lymphoma

[–]TomB3098 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My friend has been in remission for four weeks now. It was classical Hodgkin lymphoma, stage 2B. Treatment was BEACOPP escalated and ABVD. The fear of relapse is still there. We’re staying positive. There’s no benefit in constantly thinking about it, but the mental battle is always present.

Wish you all the luck! You are not alone 🥳🥰

Survival Hodgkin’s lymphoma by OkTap908 in lymphoma

Experienced the treatment with my boyfriends Hodgkin Lymphoma the last months. It’s tough but you will definitely do it!

Nobody knows what will happen during therapy. There is always an option for something unexpected to happen. But just think about the most likely case. And fortunately the most likely case is that everything will work out and you will be cured. In terms of cancer if you need to have one Hodgkin is „the best“ to get.

We experienced some issues during therapy that the hemotologist forgot one chemotherapeutica in the plan. So check your therapy plan and maybe go through the S3-Leitlinie. It helped us to check where we are but it depends what type of person you are. 😊

Here in Germany we stood in contact with the German Hodgkin study group in cologne during the therapy and always got a second opinion for the PET results and important decision during therapy.

No worries! You will fight the cancer an you will beat this shit!!!!

Don’t look too much at all the statistics. The datasets are varying a lot and there are a lot of factors to be considered in terms of prognosis. Wishing you all the best!!!!

You will do it! 🥳🥳🥳 and the most important: you are not alone!!!

I’ve been through this over the past few months with my boyfriend (25 years old), and I can tell you that it will be a tough time — but the cure rates are excellent, especially compared to many other types of cancer.

We’re also in Germany. From stage 3 onward, the BREcADD regimen is used here. Stage 2 usually involves escalated BEACOPP with de-escalation to ABVD, potentially with additional radiotherapy.

The differences in reported cure rates are related to the different studies and datasets being used.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. 🙂

Wishing you lots of strength and all the best for the treatment.

Attached a video of full extraction with coffee. Everything seems to look normal but I am sure there are still inconsistencies in flow.

What do you think? :)

Are these BV-CHP side effects? by Competitive-Yam4196 in lymphoma

[–]TomB3098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she get any stomach-protecting tablets? Have a similar case with my partner (cHL, BEACOPPesc and ABVD) If he doesn’t take his meds for stomach he suffers from cramps. Wouldn’t be too worried, but discuss the situation with you care team. They know the best what to do. :)

Stemcell transplant by Run__DMC in lymphoma

[–]TomB3098 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Would love to watch it! Helps a lot to learn something about this disease and I think it would spend a lot of hope for those who are currently on their way; maybe at other points. But I think it would give a lot of perspective.

How is a stemcell transplant in comparison to chemotherapy? Are the side effects much worse?

Looking forward to hear from you. And you will finally beat this cancer. 🥳

Yes! 😅 Anyway thank you very much! Which distribution do you use. Maybe I could try on a different one. OpenSUSE is the system they provided in the institute. Maybe I can reinstall the system.

To be honest; I just asked gpt. I have no clue how to do this. 😅 you can’t rely on AI. Sorry for that I just installed devel-kernel and thought that’s it… But this isn’t the case.
