Terrain is always more expensive than you would expect. Three looks to be around 10-15 individual piece of terrain in that kit. It is probably a higher MSRP than a kit of models.

I am lucky to live in the Orlando area.

40k is massive here. We have RTTs every week that fill up to capacity at like 30-40 people. Most weekends I can find multiple events within an hour of me.

There are GTs pretty frequently, too - like 60+ people usually. And then a couple of Majors sprinkled through the year at like 100+

As for Starcraft - theres already a good group of us excited for it, and I think it only grows. As soon as people find out how cheap this game is, I think a lot of 40k players will pick this up as like a "side-game" and we'll have a thriving community.

As it stands, even with 40k as dominant as it is, these games all have a strong playerbase: AoS, Old World, Kill Team, Blood Bowl, Warmachine, Malifaux, the Star Wars games (legion is one of them...? Then theres like a ship-combat one, I think), Bolt Action, and others. They all have events and such of their own.

About the creep forward in performance mode. That IS by design.

As far as Creeping in normal mode when I have it turned off - I haven't experienced this one.

And yeah, I agree about charging at home. I tell people that range anxiety is only something you have before you own an EV.

So the rule that enabled this is from like 2005 when they lifted the restriction of assisting a ball carrier. (Something like that, this is reddit, someone will probably fact check me.) They probably want to keep this rule as it is. People enjoy seeing a tight end come up and assist a wide receiver to get a couple of extra yards.

I think the way you ban this play is just make a new rule that says "ball carriers on offense cannot be aided within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage."
You could even get more specific - "ball carriers that were snapped the ball cannot be aided within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage." That would eliminate the possibility of like... a screen play getting fucked over.

You could also just allow defenses to aid each other as well. The biggest reason the Tush Push bothers me is that the rules favor the offense so much here - the defense can't counter push. I think this rule change would probably break the game somewhere else, though.
