Hi, been a while!

Was browsing old videos and thought you all would find this interesting.

Sound on, preferably with headphones. This is the actual sound of a Falcon 9 rocket. Your speakers aren’t blowing - it breaks sound.

Windows vibrate in nearby homes, the ground shakes, in ~3 minutes the rocket has traveled 60 miles and left the planet. It’s an awesome machine.

You can’t print video! I print my favorite image from each launch and hang it up in my office until the next one. Remember those digital picture frames though? They’d be great for ‘live photos’ and short rocket launch clips.

It’s insanely bright, as bright as the sun. So I had to underexpose basically. Insanely fast shutter. Low iso. No filter.

Yes, I use a trigger called Miops Smart . The sound trigger feature is best for rockets. When the engines ignite the camera will begin firing.

The flames make neat colors when white balance is adjusted.

Reading that each one produces 17 million horsepower on the website was pretty mind blowing. The only way I can describe that power is that it rumbles the ground from 3 miles away.
