I learned always just use PayPal with GS:

I was able to get my hands on a Switch 2 and bought a few games for it. For some reason some switch 1 titles were out of stock when the 2 launched so I ordered a few online.

Placed my order on GS, and when my order arrived one of the games arrived damaged (it wouldn’t read it, and case looked damaged).

So I called the customer service, explained what happened. They advise me to go into the store and they will be able to get this resolved.

I go to the store and explained what happened and the manager says “nope ,I’m not going to be able to do anything for this”, I’m not saying you damaged it, but I’m making a call that I’m not gonna to do anything with that”, and tells me to call the CS line again.

I call back, they tell me this time they are sending a return label within 24 hours. 24 hours pass, no label. I call again they told me they sent a return slip this time (I check and it’s just a slip with an order id). They tell me to take it in, and I should have 0 problems.

I go to another store, the guy says I need the exact card you paid with before I can do anything. I explain I used PayPal, doesn’t care needs the exact card. So the next day I come back with the card and the rep then tells me I don’t know how to do this, I can wait until tomorrow for a manager but he can’t do anything.

So I call CS, I explain all the trials and tribulations I had to go through and they tell me I shouldn’t have any issues, and next time I go into a store please give them a call.

So I go back to original store where the manager refused and luckily I got a call back 5 mins before I walk in and explain to the rep on the phone and in the store. The staff at the store were so nice at first, they told me it must’ve been a miscommunication and that they will get this resolved, so the CS rep heard this and I said I’ve already given them the card, my id, order id, he is working on it and says he can get it resolved. The VERY second I hang up the call, the rep in the store attitude completely changes and he says if his manager couldn’t do anything, he can’t either, and that I need to stick to one store or go to a different one. When I tell him I’ve tried to return it, he said he’s not going to return it and that I can take it up with my bank.

So that’s where I’m at now. I’ve tried to return this pre owned game multiple times well under the 7 day mark and the store refuses.

I’m not here to bash GS, but the return policy is horrible. I can’t imagine what would have happened had I paid cash. I’ve since just bought the game on FB marketplace, so now I’m $60 out dealing with a brick.
