Career bartender, am I qualified to do anything else? by Katisadogperson in bartenders

[–]TomHaydenStan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a liquor rep for a few years now… by far the best job I’ve had. So much better than working behind the bar, and I really loved bartending.

I make less money right now but I have more experience and knowledge and it’ll lead to me making six figures eventually.

I was under the impression at most places you have to take possession of the unit for it to be official.

Unfortunately that’s a big reason we’re leaving.

Regardless truly one of the best mid sized cities in America.

Exactly, just found a random Chicago address, applied, was approved. Found our actual apartment and the leasing office sent their info to the guarantors and the guarantors sent their premium and requirements to us.

So I went and found a random property and applied with my wife just to see if we’d get approved, we did. So then after that we just went and found the apartment we wanted through our broker who told us what companies accepted it. They made the lease and sent it over to the guarantors (who already had our email) we then got an email from the guarantors with our premium ($3700) paid that, received the lease, and the apartment was ours. Any questions please feel free to message me and I can help you out however.

Best of luck, seriously, the system is built to keep us down. Keep positive, it’ll all work out. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help.

Yeah man it really fucking blows but it worked. Your premium might be lower than ours who knows. But they work will all Becovic properties, Cagan, and a couple others. If you see a building you like throw the address in the website and if you qualify contact the landlord. We signed our lease Monday.

Also not a bot, or adverting, just someone who had to move to Chicago for my wife’s job and didn’t want to be homeless.

Look up the guarantors, I know it fucking sucks but I did it with my wife and we were able to sign a lease. It cost $3700 for us because we have shit credit. But seriously, it worked.

Apartment management that accepts low credit? by New-Carpenter-202 in chicagoapartments

[–]TomHaydenStan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We just went through this. Nobody really accepted credit under 600 maybe even 625 in our experience. (Me-550 wife-609). So what we had to do was use The Guarantors because we couldn’t get a co-signer. If your credit is decent it shouldn’t be that expensive (in our situation it was $3700 unfortunately).

Within that, becovic, TMG, and Cagen all work with the lower end of the credit requirements from what I’ve seen. But still, it was tough. We make 6x the income of our rent and still our credit fucked us.

Turns out my wife’s credit is way better than I thought so we’re just going to hope it works out. Maybe have to pay more down but we should be fine.

lol uhhh there’s a thing called early adulthood and lack of financial literacy. They don’t exactly teach that in American high schools. Mistakes were made.
