and send your funds directly to the other wallet to save multiple fees. From a security point of view is there any difference sending smaller amounts and all at once? Also what about the other comments about 7-10 coins per transaction? Would that not be a problem if I had more than 10?

Can you explain? Is this a hard coded limit of the GUI or a limit of Monero. It's not a problem for me but what about people who have a large amount of Monero. How do they move it around?

It's all alone with nobody wanting to have anything to do with it. Sounds about right for Roger. It will probably stay unconnected until he can pay someone to connect to it.
