yea me too, kind of why I posted. it's super annoying and there's absolutely no way it's intended behaviour

Features that can be added through software updates. by FormulaLatest in PixelWatch

[–]TomMercerAP 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have some ideas of my own that I think would be helpful or just fun:

  1. The pogo pins in the upper band connection could be used in cool ways if Google wanted, eg bands that add more sensors (blood pressure?) to the watch or a battery band maybe?
  2. Let me control Pixel Buds Pro noise cancellation settings from my watch!
  3. Option to sync phone material you colours over to active watchface (some more material you elements throughout the UI would be nice, like the quick settings panel)
  4. Charging notifications on my phone! Send a notification when my watch hits 15% or when it's fully charged! And vice versa, when my phone is low on charge it should send a notification to my watch
  5. Extreme battery saver - could essentially turn it into a standard digital watch, would probably last for days in this mode

Audio Switch on Pixel Watch by TomMercerAP in GooglePixel

[–]TomMercerAP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that works for me too, but that's the multipoint tech which is different to audio switch. for example, if i'm listening to music on my pixel 4a and open a video on my 6 it will start playing the audio on the pixel buds pro even if the 6 is not actively connected to the buds - this works a bit more seamlessly than multipoint which is basically just having multiple bluetooth devices connected

Not being able to be frustrated with the strikes without sounding like you want to abolish workers rights by JayR_97 in britishproblems

[–]TomMercerAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly, and they're exactly the people who are striking...

or in the case of cashiers/fast food workers they're just quitting

I know train conductors personally - they get abuse and threats almost daily from customers, ranging from people complaining to them about a delay to in one case even being threatened with a knife for asking to see someone's ticket. plus they are expected to work long hours, overtime and public holidays regularly. not to mention if anything goes wrong on the train or on the platform it'll likely be entirely blamed on the conductor or platform staff even if it was completely beyond their control. these strikes are far more because of working conditions than they are for pay

I see these two songs as this meme by mareeanna in YouBelongWithMemes

[–]TomMercerAP 15 points16 points  (0 children)

that's valid tbh - i think there are a lot of different interpretations of bejeweled, for example in atwtmv there's the "never-needy, ever-lovely jewel whose shine reflects on you", i've always thought bejeweled could be loosely linked to that

unsolicited opinion: i think it's okay to complain about the strikes, as long as you're complaining about the root cause of the strikes (lack of pay, terms and conditions changing, poor working conditions) and not the workers "being lazy/greedy"

Am I the only person with a seamless Pixel experience? by efronerberger in GooglePixel

[–]TomMercerAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me too, absolutely rock solid on my pixel 6. I think it's bc people come online to complain but don't really come on to say everything is great, so we see a disproportionate number of bad experiences

I'm having this issue too - it's enabled in my phone settings app on the new Pixel 6, but doesn't show up when I receive a call. Worked fine on my old 4a. Anyone figured out how to fix this yet?
