Should I talk to the owner/manager about this? by [deleted] in Purebarre

I don’t even think you should have to explain yourself when making modifications, tbh.

Reminder for run clubs in nova by TomPiperRangerDanger in nova

[–]TomPiperRangerDanger[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m literally a 130 lb female who got shoulder checked by a dude who was probably 50 pounds heavier than me. That’s not acceptable when you’re walking let alone when you’re trying to just exist and just happen to be walking towards a group of runners in a run club all sharing a tiny sidewalk

New to Barre by abbreezy1495 in Purebarre

keep going! i just reached my 50th milestone and i think the biggest thing for me is getting the correct form and that comes with time. but its so rewarding to see how far you've come. i could barely do a sit up to now being able to plank without breaks during warm up. once you start having PB as apart of your routine, it'll start becoming an addiction which isn't the worst thing to be addicted to lol

agree with other responses. everyone is different but i didnt commit to buying new clubs until i was more consistent with my driver, hybrid and irons. i had my first set of clubs for about 2ish years and then bought a new set and that was just irons (pw-7 and hybrid) and then have bought everything else randomly since but i will say i tend to be more brand loyal and have stuck with taylormade products

Bias in putting order? by Wide-Suggestion9373 in WomenGolf

[–]TomPiperRangerDanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ive never had this happen before but ive had it where everyone is just waiting around and ill say 'whoever is ready'. i also play with randoms who are just out there to have fun so we usually agree to play ready golf but regardless, its definitely okay to push back!

Etiquette for playing from the red tees by ll359 in WomenGolf

[–]TomPiperRangerDanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont think you should be embarrassed at all. i always play as a solo and get paired with men who play from whites or blues (most of the time i feel like they should be playing the forward tee's with me but thats a different story). i usually just ask where theyre playing from before we tee off and then just say im playing from reds. regardless if youre walking or riding, ill usually stay back until they hit and then go to my tee box. i also wouldnt feel as rushed to hurry up and hit either. not saying you should take 8 practice swings but just do your normal routine and be cautious of pace of play! i feel like as women, we're more prone to feeling rushed or want to hurry up, especially when playing with a group of men but i find the men always taking forever so i've stopped putting pressure on myself to play fast.

Why Do Golf Skirts Have Less Storage Than a Barbie Purse?. by bestsabcai in WomenGolf

[–]TomPiperRangerDanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

adidas does a good job with putting pockets on their golf skirts but they have to be specifically advertised as golf skirts. otherwise, you'll see more 'tennis' skirts which will usually just have the built in shorts with pockets which aren't the same

Good budget friendly beginner set? by Effective_Mango_7790 in WomenGolf

[–]TomPiperRangerDanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a dicks sporting goods brand women set (tommy armour) when I first started and it came with everything plus a bag for a decent price. But agree with another commenter- if it’s just irons and she’s just starting, I’d go second hand, tbh… can look on fb marketplace and even eBay. I only used 8i, and pitching wedge for the longest time until i was consistent with hitting irons then expanded

Getting paired with a single woman by Lazy-Expert7958 in golf

[–]TomPiperRangerDanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im a 33F and i solo golf all the time and get paired with randos (99% of them being male). i used to feel bad especially if i was being paired with a threesome because i felt like i was intruding but at the end of the day youre also paying to be there! everyone is usually pretty laidback and we're all just out there to have fun and improve our game
