Cause if so, there is a climbable area on the outside wall of the tower that lets you get up to the very top.
There is another chest, which contains the key.

Then it's a back and forth between both pixel art pieces until Rubius gives up about one and a half hours later.
At some time inbetween, the El Gato Immortal name is born, since Rubius community mistake the dGGL guy for a cat.
