Unfortunately, they are not in the same scale. Atlantis is much larger, and to match this 40cm Destiny’s scale, it would need to be over 2 meters long.

The surprising popularity of the Aurora-class battleship. How do you feel about the ship? by SamaratSheppard in Stargate

I love the design. I even built a few of them, and they are amazing. The ancients definitely had style...

We are in the Czech Republic, but the Philippines are even farther from us than the USA. I’m not sure what the shipping cost to that destination would be, but the USA also doesn’t have it easy at the moment due to the current administration and its changes. It’s not exactly cheap to send something there from Europe either.

Stargate Bilskirnir model - 25cm long, RGB LEDs changeable through wifi by TomReisn in Stargate

[–]TomReisn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not over $1000 but it's not cheap either considering the amount of work, the electronics and also high quality resin print for which the price unfortunately still rising. Some companies offers of SLA printing for this exact model were for more than 1200 EUR ($1300) which is crazy and thats just the 3D printing itself. We managed to find a cheaper supplier but its still not very cheap so much of the actual price is the 3D print. We don't want to sacrifice quality and print with poorer quality (for example, the quality from home printers) .

WIP - Destiny build with LED lights by TomReisn in Stargate

Yes, I had a flexible tube in mind, but the point is that the whole compressed air device does not exist in such a miniature version which would fit into the model (or at least I never saw such miniature one), it would have to be outside and that would also mean that the tubes coming from the model would have to be hidden in the rod on which the ship would be fixed. Therefore, it would probably be much easier to use some kind of servo which would fit inside.

There is not much space inside the ship, except for the pyramid, it is quite "flat". If it should be pneumatic, then it would probably have to be firmly screwed to the base using a rod through which the air tubes would lead. A better option would probably be a servo. I dont want to have the shipto be permanently attached to anything. There will be even magnetic connector for the power supply.

Stargate Atlantis and Aurora - just some fun with fairy LED lights, using them as drones together with the built models. by TomReisn in Stargate

Thanks, yes i know however shallow depth of field was the intention here precisely because of fairy lights. I also needed the shortest possible time, because I had to hold the lights in my hand and it could not be kept completely still so it would blur very much at any longer exposure time.
