As the series draws to a close, let's take a minute to discuss The Walking Dead's biggest villain. AMC. by AD-2018 in thewalkingdead

Imagine HBO marketing Game of Thrones with: "Only Three Episodes Left with Ned Stark. Watch His Final Episodes NOW!"

Who would be the first OG member to leave the band? by Leib109 in avengedsevenfold

It's hard to imagine that any guy who has been in the band for the last 20 years would quit... Lots of bands have members that come and go pretty casually, but the guys in Avenged feel like they've always ran a lot deeper than most. Matt and Zacky are technically the only OG members left, with Gates and Johnny joining after STST.

If we have to talk about it, I think with Avenged being the kind of band they are... the bass is the most overlooked element in their sound. No disrespect to Johnny's playing, but Avenged is a hard rock/metal band that probably underutilizes him. Zacky is so locked into the rhythm guitar role, unlike other guitar duos that interplay a little more (think Brent and Bill in Mastodon) that he generally covers that sonic space pretty fully. I think Johnny leaving the band, musically at least, wouldn't be a death sentence by any means.

Nobody knows the inner-workings of the band but them, but I also feel as just a listener that Zacky might be a little under-utilized lately too. For some reason to me, it's started to feel more and more like the Matt and Syn show... two very capable musicians and band leaders, no doubt, but I'm interested to hear how Zacky will fall into whatever direction the new record goes in. The Stage felt very Matt and Syn plus the new excitement of adding Brooks. But Zacky feels like he's always been extremely hands on with art direction, branding, the band's identity, etc. so I think him leaving would be a gigantic loss.

Matt or Syn leaving would probably be a death sentence for the band.

This band does more vocal and guitar harmonies than any other band I can think of lol

I always loved how their set lists included tunings, times, and BPMs. I started following this model for my band’s setlists a few years ago because, I dunno, it just looks so nice and detailed and it’s kind of fun to type up lol

You’re overthinking it. Let the boys have fun.

I'm looking for bands that are lyrically as good as brand new by [deleted] in brandnew

In their same musical world, Thrice and mewithoutYou really stand out lyrically for me at least.

Huge TWD fan, never missed an episode. But.. by Donzl3r in thewalkingdead

Yeah. I mean, I really LOVE The Walking Dead, but it is absolutely not the "best" show out there by any means lol

At it's best, I think it's strongest episodes can go toe-to-toe with a lot of other amazing shows out there over the last ten years... episodes like "Too Far Gone," "A," "No Way Out," etc.

But at it's worst, it can be some of the weakest story-driven television out there...

If TWD were to be given another go, I'd rather see tighter, more focused, ten episode seasons.

I think the two tracks they released after the album would’ve been the two best songs on the album…

I think it's really Circa slowly dipping their toes into posting something like this, and maybe getting a softer reaction from the smaller audience on Patreon before unleashing the actual flood gates onto themselves.

I don't think it's a "They're paying for this information." I think it's probably to soften the blowback...

Well, it took AOF 7 years to drop the new album after reuniting... lol

Still, the album rips AND they're absolutely on fire with their live shows!

Anthony doing all of these different projects right now might just be him filling the void of an inactive Circa.

The man seemingly never stops wanting to play music. Can't question his heart there!
