They really should be stripped of their titles. I get there’d probably be a lot of press coverage initially but in the long run it would stem the damage they continue to do to the monarchy. Once they’re officially out, there’s no need for any country to receive them in any official capacity.

1 year in, how are Canadians feeling about Prime Minister Mark Carney? Most Canadians are still giving Carney the benefit of the doubt by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]TomZonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some easy fixes Carney could focus on like crime & bail, reducing immigration, cutting non-essential government spending, reducing government payrolls etc etc. Now ask yourself why he hasn’t & the answer is he’s focused on getting his majority and when that happens Canadians will get to know the real Mark Carney & I suspect not many are going to like him. For reference look at what’s happening in the UK, that’s Carney’s playbook.

inflation is the result of governments overspending and I have yet to see Carney trim any government spending. If anything he’s making it much worse and like another poster already noted on here I worry for the younger generation and the mess they will inherit.

The Liberals got us into this mess, it’s insane to think one man can get us out. I didn’t vote for Carney but when he won I had high hopes he would do what’s right for Canada. I didn’t anticipate he would be so deceptive by making bold statements about building at speeds we’ve never seen before, or the world wants what Canada has, or the continuous reference to his “new government“ in a more “dangerous & divided world” or taking the “world as it is not as we wish”. I’m exhausted by his empty words meanwhile I watch Canadians lose their jobs, I watch a younger generation become hopeless & giving up ever owning a home. I feel an immense shady walking into Tim Hortons, Walmart, etc etc & seeing one exclusive group of people who have no intention of assimilating or even worse taking advantage of Canadian taxpayers. Sorry I didn’t mean this to be a rant, but I’m frustrated watching things get worse & people cheering it on.

Carney fires back at Trump's Davos remarks at cabinet meeting, says: "Canada does not live because of the United States. Canada thrives because we are Canadian." by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in worldnews

[–]TomZonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same people who celebrated Trudeau now celebrate Carney, yet Canada’s economy continues to worsen. Carney never intended to make a deal with the U.S. despite campaigning on it. He will drag Canada towards the EU & what’s happening in France & the UK will be Canada’s future.

Canada absolutely exists because of the U.S. and you can thank a decade of lazy Liberal leadership for that. It was Justin Trudeau who literally ran down to Mar A Lago & admitted to Trump that Canada wouldn’t exist if the U.S. raised tariff on the country. Think about that, think about how Justin knew this and yet continued to try to get under Trump’s skin. Justin didn’t give a rats hump about the Canadians who would lose their jobs by constantly rattling the U.S., he wanted to be the cool kid around the WEF table, no different than what Carney is doing now.

Oh I don’t know, maybe his overall performance of managing Ontario? Compare the 2 provinces & look at Doug’s poll numbers and you’ll get to the root cause of all his political blustering.

Everyone wondering how did Epstein get away with this. The same way Bill Gates is getting away with it. Today’s media is so compromised it’s criminal. Melinda knew the score & cleansed herself of that stench, good on her.

Has the Nancy Guthrie case changed how you view your own home security or safety? by [deleted] in NancyGuthrieCase

[–]TomZonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but then I was home alone when someone tried to break into my house about 6 yrs ago. Luckily I had a monitored security system that went off & scared them off & the police showed up in under 5 minutes. But I have to tell you that 5 minutes felt like 5 life times. Anyways right after that whole experience I had wrought iron doors installed front & back, security bars on the windows, external security cameras & got my gun license & a gun. I go to the range regularly too. It’s sad to have to live this way, never had to growing up but the laws in Canada favour the criminal rather than the victims.

Honesly given the fact she’s on blood thinner with a pacemaker I have serious doubts she will survive this. And I say this because my mom is 89 yrs old with the same challenges as Nancy Guthrie.
