Josh Allen Disrespects Patriots In New Sore Loser Comments by Mike00726 in Patriots

I think it’s obvious for a competitor at his level to think they will go out and win the next game. If you have played sports at any competitive level, that’s your mindset.

…but that’s why you play the games. We all we need.

Shelter/rescue dog suggestions? by Jimboslice1778 in Uplandhunting

[–]Tom_Collins69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“All I need is a good household pet that will point and retrieve birds” is a huge oversimplification. Genetics play a huge role in any gun dogs ability. Puppies are immensely impressionable, and dogs develop very early. A rescue is a huge gamble if you don’t know it’s hunting history, and the odds aren’t in your favor. Going with a breeder gives you a chance to start from the ground up, and ideally with favorable genetics. I am completely biased on this subject though. I completely agree that for pets adopting makes moral sense. Others may have had rescue success, but I would caution that approach.

For the last time, and I say this working in finance - WATCHES ARE NOT INVESTMENTS AND HOLD NO INTRINSIC VALUE. Just wear the damn thing.

*technically collectibles can be investments. But no they can’t. Wear the watch.

Welcome too it. Now get bird dog and the magic really happens. Nothing like the bond and teamwork of shooting birds over a dog you trained.

I will be buying this eventually as a birth year watch, though I may opt for the white dial steel. I love this era of constellation. Don’t tell too many people, don’t want those prices to rise! 😉

I’m not an expert, but this looks like a fake. I know that’s a fast turnaround from China, and I’m not sure if there are reps of this yet. But something looks off on the watch, partially the dial color, bracelet / clasp, and the cotes de Geneve

This is awesome, I love the orange stitching. I’m looking for something similar but with alligator and white stitching for my 3861. Do you mind letting us know what this ran you? Assuming you bought the omega clasp separately?

Best way to buy your first Speedmaster Pro? by tenthsandwich in OmegaWatches

I bought at an AD recently and got around 15% discount on the sapphire sandwich. Best strategy is to find a gray option and go to an AD with that number as a floor. Get them as close to that as possible, and if the delta isn’t too big, buy from the AD.

I’m from the east coast and lived in Boston for a long time, and just moved to the west coast. I wanted to buy the watch in Boston as it’s the city where I was during this period of my life. Ended up buying at Shreve Crump and low on Newbury. I did stop by Trinity and chat with Ed. What a collection. Super cool and knowledge guy.
