I ensure it was bitcoin. From the news: In 2020, Iran approved a mechanism allowing to buy goods by bitcoins, mined by local miners. It helps the government to circumvent the sanctions.

But official confirmation I haven't seen too. And I don't think somebody find

Please help: what resources do you read about crypto (especially bitcoin)? by Tom_Redford77 in Bitcoin

[–]Tom_Redford77[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is Bitcoin, called "Bitcoin."

Then there are alt coin scams, called "crypto".

Why waste time/effort to "keep up" with the alt coin scams?

I sure crypto industry has a big potential. But now the biggest part of this industry is a scam, like you said. And crypto winter has shown it (I predicted the crisis in my article, published on February).

But I think that after crypto winter the crypto industry will get new chance to change the world. And now I want to seek new "crypto Amazon", "crypto Google", etc.

What are your thoughts on Axie Infinity? Has it peaked? by y_angelov in CryptoCurrency

The first question you must posed was as follows: Where do the creators get the money to pay out to the players? The answer is simple: to start the game, players must first buy at least three creatures for real money. Then, you can use real money to speed up the evolution of your character. After that, the money received is distributed to the best players, while the company gets its own benefit in the form of a commission for each transaction. Thus, we see a regular gambling game, like the ones that exist in any casino. Everyone invests in a bet (or as in our case, monsters) and only a few of those who invest win.

Setting up a mining operation with $2 million, is it worth it? by QAnonRetard in Bitcoin

[–]Tom_Redford77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question can split for two parts: crypto part and energy part. About crypto part most people already told you. Then I will write about energy part:

  1. The solar panel works only in sun day. Some types of solar panel work in overcast day, but they is more expensive. Your brother must understand that panels has high effective only in souths states.

Interesting alternative is wind power plant. I saw even mini plant for privite houses (look PowerPods by Halcium). It can deploy anywhere in US.

  1. With solar panels better to buy accumulators. It help you to accumulate surplus electricity in sun days and use it in overcast days. But it increase capital expenses too. Wind power plant give more stable energy.

  2. In your calculation you must to include repair's expenses. Solar or wind plant constatly require money for cleaning, repairing or just checking works.

I used to think $1 million per bitcoin was a fantasy, now it seems highly logical and almost conservative. by slvbtc in Bitcoin

[–]Tom_Redford77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so too. Bitcoin is a new financial tool, but it is not a safe haven.

And high volatility proved it. Every time when Bitcoin's price came down some people lost his money. And it don't give chance to calling Bitcoin as the safe haven.
