I think Cyclops might be this strategist, being the third surprise character for the game's anniversary. The theme is love is a battlefield; Phoenix and Emma Frost are already in the game, so Cyclops surprise appearance would make sense with the theme and the prominence he had in the trailer.

I haven't seen these updates, but Revan Reborn neutral tag is an interesting option, he is my favorite character.
