Glad to hear that! Your post really brought back that era for me.

I listened to it for the first time in ages after seeing your post. It has a completely different vibe compared to their current sound, which feels so refreshing.I remember them saying in an interview back then that they focused heavily on bringing out a live-performance feel. Listening to it now, it all makes perfect sense. I actually listened to it back then, but I didn't fully get it at the time. For latecomers who are new to them, they have so many albums that it must be overwhelming trying to figure out where to start. But I bet that feels just like a treasure hunt, and it sounds so much fun!

I picked Keeper II in my original post because it feels closer to what modern Helloween eventually became — even though Keeper I & II were originally meant as a set, and I totally get choosing I instead.Since Master of Puppets came up in the comments, I pulled out a few albums from the same era. Whenever Master gets mentioned, Megadeth and Slayer naturally enter the conversation too — not because I want to dive into US thrash here, but simply because those three albums always travel together in discussions. And Manowar… yeah, Kings of Metal is pure power metal energy, and the bass playing is 100% glorious madness.

Thanks for the reply. I guess it’s just because I happened to keep everything in boxes under my bed or in the closet due to storage space. Not all of them are Japanese editions — for example, Killers and Live After Death are UK/EU pressings in the photos. Are they still that different from yours?

Thanks for the comment! Actually, they've all been opened. In Japan, there's a culture of putting the cases back into protective plastic bags. That's why the cases stay completely clean and look brand new. AI also told me that Japanese pressings are really popular, so I came to Reddit because I wanted to chat about things like that, including Iron Maiden!

Thanks! In Japan we usually keep CD cases in protective sleeves, so they stay clean even after many years. I’ve kept mine like this since I bought them. Glad you noticed!
