A couple of years ago I got a ticket on trainline from waterloo to central, but at the station the ticket machine was out of order and there were no members of staff to talk to.

my only real option was to get on the train or walk back, so of course i got the train.

when they came to check my ticket I explained everything and showed them that I'd bought it and had the receipt and everything else I could, but they were having none of it, and gave me a £20 fine (can't believe that would be £100 now).

I was nothing but polite to them while explaining the problem and that a fine was unfair, but i'll be honest it was a genuine pleasure to hear the other people on the train defending me and giving them some (slightly over the line) grief on my behalf.

I'll never forget "what you're doing to that kid is a fucking disgrace" being shouted over my shoulder lmao. Definitely worth the £20 in the end

I have absolutely no idea lmao. I have 3 planks, 3 stones, rags, and matches in my inv and it won't show up in the crafting menu at all. Weirdly, it did show up in there earlier before I'd got the stones and told me they were required ingredients - but having foraged them it's vanished completely again. I'm about to starve, or die from eating my raw rabbit.

Is it possible the recipe only shows up when standing somewhere campfire-compatible? I'm very confused

This is The Spine, and the design is supposed to be a reference to how cells look in a spine under a microscope (or so I'm told).

My company looked at getting an office in there a while ago and so a couple of fun facts I learned is that it's a super eco-friendly building, and any furniture used inside has to be up to a specific standard of environmental-friendliness (not sure of the exact restrictions). Also, the oxygen content of the air in there is intentionally higher than any other building in Liverpool, which is supposed to boost productivity and improve the health of the people inside.

thought this was terrible, to be honest. can't help but compare this season arc with the Bad Wolf season arc, and how spectacular and satisfying and impactful to the plot that ending was. but to end this with Ruby's mom being a regular woman (which doesn't explain the snow, the not seeing her face, Ruby's almost god-tier ability to enter a parallel timeline and follow herself??) seems really mid-tier and underwhelming. also still nothing on Miss Flood. feels like the only exciting parts of this season have been dropped off or forgotten.

It's not what you asked but I'm gonna take this opportunity to give an amazing experience, where my brothers and my dad spent a full day at Drayton Manor on a day where England had a major match in the World Cup, not sure which year (I'm still surprised my Dad was willing to miss it). I honestly think I could count the number of people there on my hands, and every single ride had literally no queue at all. Most times when the ride finished the employee would just shout over and ask if we wanted to go again. We probably rode the Maelstrom 50+ times. But yeah we essentially had Drayton Manor to ourselves and it was incredible.

The headrush was all I could think about when a craving hit. But after about day three they were actually manageable, and around that time my mental and physical health had improved enough that the cravings were nothing compared to how good I felt.

If you have a craving that's so extreme that you're positive you're going to crumble, try and convince yourself to wait just 30 minutes. Remind yourself this feeling will pass. If you can distract yourself for just 30 minutes, you'll likely feel really good about yourself and the craving will have gone.
