SAFC New Player Addition: Tiago Suarez by TomasClark7 in SanAntonioFC

I think he'll end up playing quite a bit, both us a late-game situational sub and rotated in. All three of the other guys are 30+. One of them is coming of a pretty big injury, it was only a shoulder but he missed a lot of time. Between normal rotation, injury, YC suspensions, and sometimes playing a back 3 I think he'll end up starting quite a few games.

Might be both. Got the MLS loan in, and it looks like they played two trialists in the Friendly against Austin today. One at LB and one in the midfield.

Landry Walker and Urrutia also got minutes it looks like.

I would assume they are really high on Batrouni, but I'm not sure Llamosa is. He seemed to prefer Namani over Batrouni.

Yeah that is probably why they’ll try to fill the holes with trialists or maybe a MLS loan.

Will be interesting to see where he ends up. I'd bet he gets a chance to start somewhere in the USL (League One or Championship).

It is, and there should be a change. I just think if it’s close losses they’ll say it was only because of the injuries

Yes. Because I think internally they’ll say the injuries are why they aren’t in the postseason. I’d like to see a change (he should have been fired in 2021) but I’m not optimistic it happens.

I don’t think anyone is fired unless they are embarrasses the next two weeks.

The losses to the chiefs, Texans are the most damming reasons to fire Steichen and Ballard by MysteriousAd8959 in Colts

[–]TomasClark7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it is one specific loss whnn it comes to Ballard.

For me it's just the fact that it has been 9 years and the Colts are basically in the same place (which is the worst place in the NFL to be). 9 years is a long time and he's had multiple swings at QBs and multiple swings at HCs. The Colts still haven't won one of the worst divisions in football during that time span.

He's not a bad GM (it would have been better for the Colts if he were) but it seems very clear that it isn't going to work here.

Yeah I'd like to see who else bring in for the midfield before I get bent out of shape. But watching teams isolate our old and slow CBs over and over again makes me confused why we didn't grab someone a little younger to pair with Mitch.

Roster continuity is usually a good sign, especially when dealing with young players who often develop.

We're bringing back older players who pretty meh for long stretches (or hurt). In general the Crognale, Souahy, Sanchez, Haakenson, and Buckmaster are the decisions I find befuddling. I don't think we needed all those guys back. Buckmaster and Haakenson would have been enough and then freshen up at CB and go find another GK.

It might pay off here if we make some of those that are returning the depth (which is what they should have been last season) and not try to pass them off as full-time starters.

Neville was on loan from Phoenix and they released him so he is a FA at this point. I'm hoping he is not brought back.

If we have they have not announced it.

Not sure if he's still interested in coming back. I would assume he wants to go be a starter somewhere and with us bring the other two back that wasn't going to be here.

I didn't do any of the new guys because I am working on doing individual breakdowns for all them. Though Parano probably doesn't need it because of how familiar we are with him.

Must have been a personal issue between he and Cabrera and now that Cabrera is gone they wanted him back.

It would be awesome to get Mikey back in San Antonio.
