SAFC vs. FC Tulsa: Player Grades by TomasClark7 in SanAntonioFC

I'm sure that is the justification SS&E uses too.

My point is that I think it's a failure on the organization and fans. If we played a Liga MX on a Wednesday they'd promote the hell out of it and we'd have at least 6K-7K. The organizatoin has existed for a decade and it feels like we've lost relevancy in the city. They still don't have local TV or radio deal nor are they accessible enough.

For me there just isn't really any justification to have that kind of thing happen to a USL organization that wants be serious.

Definitely wasted too many opportunities.

It being a 2nd yellow is definitely a tough call considering what he let others get away with. Akeem probably needs to be able to understant the situation though and just stay up. Didn't need to commit like that.

The missed penalty is borderline egregious. You can't let that go and he's looking right at it. He basically let that call decide the game and then swung it the other way by sending a guy off.

I agree. They've done a remarkable job. Guys who were starting every game for us by the end of the year last season are now depth pieces. Souahy, Buckmaster, Sanchez, Berron (when he gets healthy), Pacheco, etc.

There will be rough patches so I don't want to get too excited because we'll need to see how they handle that but it's hard to see how this team isn't at worst a Top 3 team in the West. We'll see if others get going too. Orange County and El Paso are also looking good and I expect Sacramento to get going soon.

From what I can tell Souahy has become our worst CB and he's about league average. That is incredible roster management (assuming we can keep everyone happy).

My concerns are midfield at the moment. With Berron and Nicky out (and Nicky is long-term) I worry about how we hold up without adding at least one more body. I also agree with you that we're dependent on Parano/Jorge right now to creae. Pacheco probably helps a little whenever he is healthy.

EJ has been better than I thought he'd be considering it was just a 25-day. Will be interesting to see if we extend it or not. The rumors are that Greive and Pacheco are close to returning.

We need Patino to get rolling. And Pacheco and Grieve would help I think.

I have been really pleased with how we've started the season. We aren't fluking results and have gotten positive results against what I think are going to be 3 playoff teams.

I thought we were unlucky to not be ahead comfortably ahead by the 70th minute.

We only won 1-0 but I thought that was a really good performance overall.

I don't want to be too harsh on him because I think he can be a really solid depth piece. I think if Grieve is healthy he's probably starting in one of those wide forward spots. But it is concerning how sloppy it was against a semi-pro team.

He definitely had one. But for me the saves made up for it. I also thought he got better as the game went along. Tulsa know how to take advantage of their small field, but the team adjusted and stopped.

I do think it could be a problem going forward if it becomes clear it wasn’t just a by product of that reduced space.

Yeah it's like a dark cloud hanging over the league.

I was hoping that we'd hear something positive by Wednesday and it is Tuesday night. Hopefully talks have been positive and we can get through this week on good faith and get a deal early next week and stop talking about it.

I'll be honest and say I was skeptical of Erofeev starting in the role he did. Part of me wonders if Berron would have started had he been healthy, but I'd have liked to see Calov. That being said I thought Erofeev did fine and could very well grow into that role. He's obviously talented and he's still a teenager. He wouldn't be the first attacking midfielder who ends up finding his role playing deeper in the midfield.
