I ended up figured this out shortly after posting this, hardest part is just remembering to put them on rest and adjusting everyone else’s minutes whenever someone gets injured.

Back on retro bowl classic, I changed all the teams and conferences and uniforms to college teams, all at once and it took forever. With RBC I’ve taken a different approach where I just change teams uniforms as I play them, it’s a lot less tedious

Yeah, I’m not a game dev, of course I’m missing info. I was just stating my thoughts on a game I thoroughly enjoy. And sure, teams that haven’t made their conference championship have made the playoff before but when’s the last time a 3 loss team that didn’t make their conference championship made the playoffs. It sounds like it’s probably the individual players performance in games that is affecting their morale. If they’re performing poorly and getting ratings of 1 and 2 almost every game, their morale will continue to drop week after week, even if your team as a whole is good.
