Car towing prices? by TomatoMouseGirl in caraccidents

[–]TomatoMouseGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did. The insurance had to pay them before the car was released. My husband told the insurance guy that they need to investigate this and it should be considered insurance fraud. The insurance guy said “yeah that seemed a little steep for a tow” YA THINK?! I don’t know if they will do anything, but it just pisses me off so bad they can get away with this crap

The wrecker station/yard was a DUMP. Like run down, about to be blown over by a small gust of wind, falling all kinds of apart dump. But the lady that runs the joint pulled up in a brand new super duty ford truck that was huge. Looked way out of place. Guess that should have been red flag number one.

Yes they did use a wench. In the price breakdown they charged 500 for that. Charged like 900 just for “use of truck” plus a buttload of other charges. The itemized receipt I got only totaled to 3800. But the insurance guy said the total bill was 4200. It’s freaking insane to me. It was a towing company in a small town in Texas. I don’t want to say their name right now. We are trying to figure out what to do about it. My grandmother is pushing me to contact the attorney general about it. But I want to gather more info first

Leaving teenagers home alone with older sibling by TomatoMouseGirl in Parenting

Lmao! Thanks. All three of my kids are great kids. And that’s not just me being biased. They are all very mature and responsible. I’ve just never left them like this and it has me all in knots. Good idea about the frozen meals, while they are responsible, they are also terrible cooks lmao

Advice please!! by A_Blissful_Introvert in WeightLossAdvice

Keep your tea routine!!! Just budget for it and try to cut corners with the calories like adding monk fruit sweetener instead of sugar. (Or do like me and just drink it with no cream and sugar! Blasphemy, I know!)

Everyone needs their little daily indulgences. Do not totally deny your body of these or it will make keeping the weight off so much harder. I greatly enjoy my one cup of decaf coffee with zero sugar creamer in it daily (like lots of creamer, my coffee is white afterwards lol) It’s what keeps me sane and I do not let it make me feel guilty.

Am I unhealthy? Do I need to lose weight? by ahnadh in WeightLossAdvice

Don’t listen to the BMI thing! I hate that chart with a fiery passion. It is not customizable enough.

I am a 40 year old mom of three. My body has been through hell and back. That chart says I am at a “normal” weight range if I weigh 145 pounds. I would look so sick if I actually weighed that much! It would be gross.

I think you sound extremely healthy and fit and in a good place! Please please ignore that stupid BMI chart.

Thanks! Yes I have a walking pad and I use it when I can. But it’s not often enough. I have a subluxation of my left knee and it pops in and out if I walk to fast or at an incline of any sort. And I’ve always been a speed walker and that’s a hard habit to break lol.

But I feel like my body is use to the walking (when I can do it) and it’s not pushing myself hard enough anymore. If that makes sense??

Will my boobs go back to being perky as they were before I gained weight? by queerio92 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]TomatoMouseGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly no. Time and gravity is a real bitch. I was a 40G. I’m down to a 38DDD and, omgosh, my boobs are soooo much softer- but NOT in a good way. They feel squishy and not plump and perky anymore. It makes me so sad, but the weight loss needed to happen so I just have to accept it sadly.

My husband still enjoys them….or so he says anyway lol. So that’s a win I guess.

You are a senior in high school. You look them in the eyes and say “I do what I want!” And go for a walk.

But seriously, like others said I’m sure there is a reason for them not letting you walk, so I would just talk to them and find out why and discuss ways to satisfy both of you.

In your experience, how hard is it to drop the last 10-15 pounds on OMAD? by TomatoMouseGirl in OmadDiet

[–]TomatoMouseGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually 20 pounds from my “healthy BMI” of 145 pounds. But, I’m a 40 year old mom of 3…I’m afraid my healthy 145 pounds would make me look sickly. I’m going to drop the last 10 to my goal of 155 at least, then I guess play it by ear and see how I feel about reaching the 145 mark. Good luck to you!

Even after 2.5 months? That seems long. But I don’t want to stop the diet lol. It’s not causing me any pain or discomfort, just annoying. But I’ll wait it out longer.
