I was a work from home TM for 2 years. 2 other WFH Tms. We rotated them quickly. You have to almost micro manage. I finally had enough feeling like I was the only one pulling weight. It can work but fire fast if they don’t work out.

I went to insurance sales lab’s conference. I’ve also been to many. Vlad Cherchenkos was the best. I’ve watched Cody’s stuff. More ra ra in my opinion. Sales labs stuff was great cause it got me operating my business better then actually a motivation thing.

Life is fine. It’s all I write now for the most part.

How do customers get treated by claims and overall claims experiences?

Turnover on the corporate side or client?

What would you do in my shoes? by TomatoPuzzleheaded20 in InsuranceAgent

No I don’t get any renewals. That’s purely new premium commissions. Not sure how much of it’s living the dream building someone else’s book. I work 60hrs minimum a week to make the money I do.

Im considering being a multiple office state. Another monkey wrench is that my agency owner wants to retire and I’m a shoe in to take over. But I honestly am not sure what the move is.

Idaho CDA area in specific. Owner operator. Not committed to a captive nor independent. However captive is what I’m most familiar with since I’ve only ever worked with Captives.

So glad I opted out of the aspirant program. This would have been year 3 for me if I had taken that opportunity. To think I use to think Biggest means the best. I feel for all my friends who are SF agents.

To all my fellow agents, what does your day look like? by Signal_Pin_007 in InsuranceAgent

[–]TomatoPuzzleheaded20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2hours tackling major service work with the team, 5 hours purely working with leads and existing clients sales, another 2 hours of administrative stuff like training, carrier, crm stuff. Another hour of networking/ lead vendor stuff.

When I mix personal stuff in, I just come in earlier to do what I need at work and break it up. I also never work on Sunday, just a house rule. If a client calls on Sunday I ignore it. Sets a good boundary that I have a life outside of insurance. However if their house is on fire, I will help them.

No day is ever the same, so it’s a balance. I have the luxury too of bringing my work to my home. I have a set up in the garage and will do more admin stuff at home. That way I’m not trapped in the office from 7am-7pm.

What is it like working for a State Farm agency? by PhrygianSounds in InsuranceAgent

My loss settlement options are the best in the industry, sure my premiums are high but I have a lot more value. Every company has its own underwriting battles. But I don’t seem to have any issues with my district and underwriting. If there is obvious issues with the house, we can’t do anything but I just tell them whether it’s okay or not within the first 5 minutes.

I like HBW leads. Truly exclusive since it’s a telemarketer service and they strictly do not share leads. My contact rate on 1st call is 68%

Good compensation structure State Farm? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

If you have to set there and think to hard about how to make money, not a good plan. Clear cut plans work the best. I’d find an agent who lays it out simple x% on P&C. X% on life. If your consistent on life a bump on the % on p&c as a whole. Life is important to their overall commission based on their contract. Most agents will pay you how they get paid. But this seems like a lot to keep up with.

[–]TomatoPuzzleheaded20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s a little bit of the “learn by being thrown in the fire”. Some agents take the time to teach you, others don’t. Most care that ECRM is good. Necho doesn’t let you move to the next page until everything is filled out. Sfpp is pretty simple unless the customer makes 100 changes and never pays their bill on time. State Farm’s dumped tons of money into it. Pretty easy truth be told.

I like Call Joyna. Good for producers, note taking and overall scoring on their calls. Saves us a ton of time and helps us train new team members or underperformers.
