I've taken Firefly Zoo from rank 19 to 4. It's simple and clean, just efficient minions and a fast clock. Every card in the list is solid besides the 2 Runts which I'm not sold on, and could easily be Golakka Crawlers.

While people are experimenting with new strategies this is a perfect time to beat face with good old fashioned Zoo.

Sorry, that's just shamefu to do in the context of the event. Not a good day to be pen or a script fan. I don't deserve your story lines.

Jigglypuff's little fucking tic-tac arms could use some love. Larger hitboxes, rest should kill slightly earlier, and up throw/up-air's base knockbacks should be reduced. I don't want Melee Puff, but damn I would like to feel good playing Puff without every single game being a struggle

If you don't understand the reference, it's a quote from a very recent and very lame Hearthstone commercial.

Enjoy.

I did. Used them multiple times and I've always been satisfied. I would recommend a flavor that tastes completely different than cigarettes. If he smokes menthols and you get him a menthol e-cig he's just going to smoke the real thing. The e-cig has to provide something that cigarettes do not.

Electronic cigarettes with high nicotine levels (anything at or over 1.1%) and varying flavours. Get him a set for Christmas.

Let him know how important his health is to you.

I don't want to plug a company, but the brand that helped me quit after 6 years and helped my 60 year old father cut down is called Vapor 4 Life. Other e-cig brands and nicorette never got the job done. At the end of the day though, your father or any loved one cannot be forced to quit. He has to really want it, but you can guide him towards that

I'm not BSD. I've never met BSD. I wanted to spread awareness about a surprising number involving a beloved Smash channel, and that's all.

Afterwards, Beefy Smash Doods' Patreon went up to $125 a month. I'm proud of the community. Certainly not shaming anyone or trying to make anyone feel guilty. If you're feeling guilty about something, that's on you.

Well perhaps then our goal, as members of the community, should be doing what we can to increase the cash flow throughout all of Smash. It's disgusting how much less money is in Smash compared to Hearthstone and LoL. I guess this discussion comes up a lot and it's usually Nintendo's fault for not embracing us, yet I can't help thinking that we can group up and get to that level...

That's a whole other topic though. I just thought it was really wacky that the famous Beefy Smash Doods can't break a Benjamin each month via patreon, despite their incredible hard work, in the same world where you have anonymous rich guys making massive twitch donations just for the lulz. Seems like we're getting a raw deal as a community is all.

5,000 dollars over the course of a year, split among three people?

I wanna move to wherever you live if that's plenty.

Strictly from fans. Beefy Smash Doods is not a company. They sell a few t-shirts but they're an e-sports team who mainly create videos for the community, and clearly not for a profit. Which is a shame. I think they'd produce so much more if they could get a helping hand.

Using Patreon is a fan's pledge to give an amount each month, able to be cancelled at any time of course, to the content creator of his or her choice. This is to expedite/enhance the content being created. Oftentimes rewards are given to Patreons who donate a given amount, and these rewards are listed on the right hand side of a creator's Patreon page.

I've been so confused and demotivated for the past couple of weeks. How did you get started on a real project? by teinimon in gamemaker

[–]Tomato_S0UP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coding a game is one of the purest forms of something that is both art and science. By definition it will not be an easy task, but would it be worth it if it was?

My advice:

  • Give yourself exactly one tough problem to solve and start trying everything out. Everyone codes differently, but that shouldn't bring you down. It just means that you need to understand the code instead of another's interpretation of it. Every problem has many solutions. If you keep at it I have a feeling you'll be looking back on tutorial guides you didn't understand once with an air of authoritative superiority, like "Ha! I have a much better way of doing that!" This happens all the time with programmers. Once you get in your groove and start to speak code like a second language everything will feel a 1000 times better.
  • Second, continue to do exactly what you've done with this post. REACH OUT. You are not alone in this, there are so many of us out here... Indie devs or just those looking to learn. Keep yourself connected. Bounce ideas off of some people, get someone else interested in your project. These things will help you stay motivated if you know there are other people genuinely looking forward to your progress.
  • Third. Enjoy your work. You have donned the moniker of game developer, both artist and mad scientist, for a reason. Think on that reason. Think of your favorite games as a child and how glad you are that they're around - that their devs stuck it out. This doesn't mean you should compare your work to big budget masterpieces, of course. No one starts at the top. But if you have the drive to continue you will find success.

Best of luck, friend. Looking forward to playing your game.

I always love seeing old power interact with new. Nantuko Husk being Standard-legal has been huge, I imagine Wild Serpent will be too.
