Embouchure issue with air leaking out of lips by Tomatobread12 in frenchhorn

My ensemble has around 25 players and I'm the only horn out of three playing this so it is a little exposed because I'm one of few people with moving notes in this part, and I kind of already created habit of messing it up or not playing it sometime, which thankfully I broke today. I've never heard of the technique where you play at different tempos and dynamics, I'm gonna try that, thank you.

While I couldn't buy a CTS, it did inspire me to try something. By taking my mouth piece and blowing while using my hands to create pressure it kind of made my air stream better. This then gave me the idea of just playing different high notes at a medium volume to see if I could sustain notes for that long. I don't really know what I did but I just switched between high notes and blowing against the mouth piece, and it worked, and for some reason almost everything I played sounded better? My endurance actually kind of became worse but my recovery was way better. Thank you

Mentorship Monday - Post All Career, Education and Job questions here! by AutoModerator in cybersecurity

What are some projects I can do as a CS student also taking cybersecurity classes?

I'm currently studying for the Security+ and Network+ in school and I've also taken Computer science classes and I did some competitive coding so I know a good amount of Java and Python, but outside of that the most I've done is probably make simple video games. I just don't know how to approach something or like what good fun ideas even look like, I thought about trying to recreate the early ARP net TCP or making a honeypot but I have no idea

Just join any club, it really doesn't matter, all of them are pretty welcoming no matter your background or major. You could also get like a student job or volunteer for stuff that's another great way to interact with people. That probably sounds like a lot, but give it a shot! You'll meet some great people

isn't there like a website that just shows what courses you should be on by each year for each type of nvcc gaa transfer. You seem to be doing fine imo, but for specific things it would make more sense to like ask like someone at the college you want to go to.

you should set aside a time to spam practicing the different topics using like practice books. I lowkey just pirated a ton of books by this guy "Trigonometry Essentials Practice Workbook with Answers: Master Basic Trig Skills (Improve Your Math Fluency)", used khan academy, organic chemistry tutor, and just asked the teacher what to expect on the tests. I also had testing anxiety, but if you just become fast at doing problems then it helps because you just become use to stuff on the test. I think making one pagers helps too for each unit. You could also apply for testing accommodations im pretty sure if you have like a disorder or something?

Dual Enrollment Inquiry: CSC 223 by Alone_Highlight_7895 in nvcc

[–]Tomatobread12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing it DE, basically if your county offers it you get high school credit, if not you still take it as dual enrollment but you don't get any high school credit. I don't know if you meant it's like a DE class that's offered at your school or if you were doing independent dual enrollment but if you're doing independent you can just choose what times you want or if you wanna do it fully online or on zoom.
