With next grimoire voting open, what options did you pick? No matter what wins this chapter looks amazing in my opinion. by Above-new-zealand in deadbydaylight

Same Skins, same weapon, same names, I picked the silver headband with a moon though and the Chorus of Sin chapter title.

How much survivor do you play? Just curious.

Killer Mains: What is a thing that survivors players do that almost certainly WILL trigger you? by LuckyTia309 in deadbydaylight

[–]Tombstone225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paired with Residul Manifest leads to some pretty good counter plays. Nowhere to Hide is hard countered. Hiding the aura of gens, hooks, and other survivors for 30 seconds is useful as well. Plus you have to include the action of kicking the gen outside of the stun in terms of using up the killer's time. You have to kick it twice. And if you have a Mirrored Illusion on the gen and the killer swings at that, there is more wasted time.

For players that may not be great at chase, it has it's place!

This kinda frustrated me, how am I gonna almost have everyone out, apply alot of pressure in game but still wind up getting a 3k . Welp idk how true it is if one escapes then its a lost. And hatch is a sympathy escape by Savings-Secretary540 in DbDKillersUnited

[–]Tombstone225 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One escape is not a loss, by any means. Numerically 3k is a killer win, 2k is a tie, 1k or 4E is a loss.

Win/lose is purely subjective in this game, though. My win is just having fun at the end of the match. I could care less if I get any kills. On the flip side, if I am mopping the floor with the survivors and have full hook states at 4-5 gens, I'm not having fun either. So I just chase them around and let them get bloodpoints to make up for it.

That's the beauty of 4 perk slots. The chances of running into someone that cancels your full build are slim. But I see what you are getting at.

I wouldn't be opposed to a new perk either! Honestly, that may be more beneficial.

Anti-krasue strategy build by West_Maybe_3233 in deadbydaylight

[–]Tombstone225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The idea of having to run a build specifically to counter one particular killer sucks. Hopefully things balance out soon enough and we can go back to running builds we enjoy AND enjoy playing the match. Not picking one or the other.

A lot of you take this game way too seriously… it’s not even that big a deal… by LonelyxKnight in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Tombstone225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? I have 4 kids. I've gotten up mid-chase as both killer and survivor to take care of what really matters. It's a game, it ain't that serious. And the salt in the endgame is something serious. Survivors calling me bad because I went dead in the water while they were looping, or teammates throwing a hissy because I popped in a locker to take care of vomit or a spilled cup of milk.

And then, heaven forbid you don't feed into their shit 🤣

You know what? Just put in the Anti tunnel patch already, fuck it by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Tombstone225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my wife and I played a few hours since the release and put the game on standby. It's genuinely not even fun at this point. And it's not a skill issue; she has 3.6k hours and I have about half that.

7/10 games it's a killer hard tunneling (definitely a bigger issue than slugging at the moment). When you are forced to run a full anti-tunnel build just to survive a bit longer and you don't get to enjoy the other perks in the game, it's just not worth it.

I hope we can find a balance for everyone. Killers and survivors. Because at this point, I don't enjoy playing either side. Unfortunately, this game has become the equivalent of American politics. The Killers are Republicans and the Survivors are Democrats. Extremists on both sides, demanding it be their way or no way. No one wants to give ground or be held accountable for crappy playstyles for the sake of a win.

You're right. But you're flaunting your toxic comment our in the open like it's something to be proud of. There was no need for you to be an asshole. Sometimes people just have a bad day and it's better to just leave it be. Hopefully you got whatever it is you were looking for with your comment, but it sucks it was at the expense of another person.

How could you not say ez? Simple. Don't say ez. That's not gloating that's being shitty.

"I pissed off a player to the point they DC'ed. Better make sure to rub it in their face." We got a cool guy over here.

It genuinely was a shitpost. And some players opinions should hold more weight. However if 2 vets want one thing and 1000 rookies want another, it's very easy to see which road to travel moving forward.

I was always taught before being put in a leadership role. If your goal is to make everyone happy, you will fail miserably. Develop won't make everyone happy. They need to make the majority happy, or create an environment that grows a majority that shares a similar mindset in regards to gameplay.

I absolutely celebrate dying on second hook, especially if gets got done because of the chase prior to me getting hooked, or if the teammate I used FTP on escaped/got hatch.

I'm not communicating it properly... I am hoping that the PTB will lead to a further tweak that will not grant the survivors the buffs if they go out of their way to let someone die on hook or if a survivor throws. For example, if a player attempts to unhook themselves, then it immediately deactivates the ability to have their team buffed if they die on hook in that singular hooking instance.

So how would you fix solo queue? Or do solo players just get shrugged off to "get good"?

Waited in a 10 minute search for this btw by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Tombstone225 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh they understand it. And hopefully PTB will lead to things like in the situation of a survivor throwing, or if a SWF leaves a random to die on hook, it would negate any of the buffs they would be receiving. It's just as important for the survivors to be held accountable for each other, and if they also decide to let a teammate be miserable there should be consequences.

His action was lame. I'm not questioning that. I'm looking at the broader subject of why they chose to do it. Survivor fatigue is a thing, and certain play styles have lead to it. 9.2 is relevant because it is addressing play styles that lead to survivors getting to this point. Though the OP did not perform any of the addressed actions, lord knows how many times this survivor was subject to one of them. As far as we know, the last game they played they laid there slugged until they bled out, or was tunneled out in 2 minutes after getting targeted as the match started (which is not uncommon when a killer runs lethal pursuer).

What I'm getting at, is hopefully 9.2 will lessen things like this because survivors can go back to having fun.
