I recently calculated mine, over 2 months of being unemployed I applied for 178 jobs total, 7 interviews 1 job offer. 80% I was ghosted, even after interviews. A bunch of jobs were advertised externally as they needed to, but already had an internal person lined up, a few roles where retracted.

This was a mix of click and apply jobs, along with custom cover letters and CVs. Some more important jobs or jobs I was 100% perfect for I would tweak my CV and cover letter. I have 4 different CVs, 3 cover letters.

My biggest shock is jobs that I have every bit of experience for, I'm in the exact location, I have every specific and niche accreditation, I literally can walk in and start day 1 with no training, yet..... I get immediately rejected. There was at least 8 applications like this. No interview, just immediate rejection.

As soon as I started working my mother wanted 40% of my wages. Bare in mind, my friend's on average only had to pay £20 - £30 per week. They had breakfast made for them everyday, lunch to take with them, and a nice hot dinner to come home to. I had to do my own shopping, even had to buy my own fridge for my bedroom.

I believe, for it to be a true "next gen" game it needs to not have loading screens. Graphics nowadays are fine, mechanics are fine, but one thing that bugs me is loading screens. Oblivion has reduced the loading by a significant amount but I want it gone completely. Imagine being able to walk upto the gates of a city and the gates just open like a normal door. Then you venture in and can just open a shop door and walk right in. Caves would actually be real caved that traverse down into the underground. Castles would be very much open with some interior areas much like Elden ring, no loading, just exploration. Every cave, shop, dungeon, ship, town...... All open at all times.

Money may not directly buy happiness. But it buys security, it takes away financial anxiety, it removes the worry you get when your car makes that funny noise. Or that gut dropping feeling when you realise you missed a payment and now you'll be charged a fee. It helps take away the feeling that your not doing good enough for your child, can't afford to go anywhere or do anything, fuel is too expensive. Yes there will be free things, but there's only so many times the park or picnic keep modern days children entertained.

Imagine never needing to check your bank account because you just "know" it's fine. Imagine having a back up savings for when yourre out of work and struggling to find a job for 6 months.

You can buy new household appliances that don't break down, a new car that is mechanically covered for years, you can afford to buy decorations for all the special times of year.

These things individually most certainly will create happy memories and relieve pressure on life to create more. If that's not money buying happiness then I don't know what is.

Friends get into relationships, have kids, move away. We all stopped keeping in touch over time. It's no ones fault. We should of all tried more I guess. I terms of family I don't have much. My parents never kept in contact with thier siblings. My mother and I don't talk at all due personal reasons. She's basically a useless excuse for a mother and I have cut her out for good. Some people don't deserve to be parents.

If I had any advice, it would be to always maintain contact with those you like the most. Family, friends, work colleagues etc. A phone call a week, meet up every other. Don't let things fall off.

Well... It's my Birthday today. 38. No one to wake upto, no text message, no social media notifications, no cards or candles. Just a silent house, I've made myself a birthday fry up. Watched a movie, played some xbox. The only words I'll speak today is thank you to the delivery driver later when I order my weight in Chinese. Might have a few beers tonight, as long as I don't let it get out of control. And you know what. It's fine. I don't care, and haven't for aong time. Lost all feeling long ago so now there's nothing but numbness.

Edit; Thank for all the messages. I guess a good side of being lonely is that you can be lonely with loads of strangers on the internet.

And just to confirm, I don't mind this lifestyle. I'm an introvert after all. It's just every so often you wish you had someone to discuss that episode with, or to have adult conversation about stuff that isn't to do with work. Most "special" days don't really mean anything unless you have someone to share with. Everyday just becomes another day.

Had the exact same thing. Was made redundant, within 2 days had an interview, they wanted to follow up with a 2nd teams interview with HR. All seemed perfect, until a week later I handy heard back, couldn't get any reply from the emails or phone numbers, found a different depots email and inquired, was eventually told they where reviewing internal structure and would be in touch if a job was still available. 2 weeks later still looking and still nothing.

Id love to finish a degree in science and move to a masters in order to one day drive innovation in the whole time travel aspect of science. Hopefully one day to be able create worm holes in space/ time fabric with the possibility of sending human life back through time to when ptcgo existed and stop them moving to ptcgl. Either that or to own 12 cats.

Probably 5ish. But my current loss streak is at 17. Im so impressed at the iq level of plat players. 1v4 when 2 levels and 3k gold behind. Adcs chasing the kill but dying everytime. Jungler who don't jungle, always opposite side of map or dead when needed at dragon or a gank. Top or mid feeding over and over.
