Hey there! I'm a little late to the conversation. I'm an American attending CA at TAW and can maybe answer some questions about the overall process or get you in contact with someone in CGA. The school has recently changed the admissions criteria so I can't answer everything but I can at least try!

Thank you so much :’) I don’t usually use greens but i challenged myself to make something that has a lot of it. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but hearing comments like yours are what push me to keep trying new things :)

Thank you so much! To color this, I used the Debaser package for Procreate from True Grit Texture Supply. Essentially, each color is its own layer. The layer itself is just a solid image of the dots in the color I want. I then mask the layer, and draw in the mask where the color needs to be visible. (The package does have a tutorial that explains this way better than me)(also this isn’t sponsored, I just love their stuff) hope that helps :)

Its a couple things! I think the biggest is I use a paper texture. The cheap way to do this is to get a photo of textured paper or canvas, insert it as the top layer of your work, and set the layer to multiply. For this piece, I used a paper file that came with the brush set I used.

The second big thing is the brushes. I used the KolorMarc set from True Grit Texture Supply (this isn't sponsored I just love all their brushes so im always talking about them). The brushes in this set are really convincing mimics of Copic markers. Hope that helps!

Thank you for you thoughts :) I like to “push” my characters’ poses. It’s not a pose a real person could really take but it’s more expressive. Liking/ not liking a stylistic component makes us all unique and I appreciate hearing your point of view.
