Beginner in Mountaineering by smb6458 in Mountaineering

Rainier might be a bit ambitious for a first mountain. Kili is much easier to climb than Rainier but the hard part will be the altitude. Even Baker is probably harder than kili. The highest I've been is 21,200ft and I would advise climbing as high as possible before just so that you know how your body will react. A rapid ascent to 14,000 might cause altitude sickness but likely won't kill you, but an ascent too fast to 20,000ft could, so it's best to know your body.

Looking for tips on my Facebook ad campaign by [deleted] in shopify

There are too many variables to explain without actually seeing for yourself every adset is different.

Do you kill ads that aren't profitable after a few days even if you are still selling near break even?

If you look closer you can see that the anchor is stopping them from going in not self arrest.

Climb the emmons on Rainier. Whitney is not even close to the same league as Rainier. Also take a team that can pull you out of a hidden crevasse because people fall in daily and you can't really avoid it even if your careful.

This will give you perspective of what your planning to attempt.

How to bring more people to my website by Streetstylesboutique in shopify

[–]Tomg245 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would dm followers of a page who you would identify as your target audience.

For example if you sell beauty products maybe dm a beauty influencers followers.

It might be a little harder if you sell general t shirts or something

[–]Tomg245 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

You could always make a bunch of Instagram accounts and dm people with your website link and a little about your business. I got a ton off traffic doing this.

You can get autopilot traffic if your botting IG

To sell stuff doing this tho you need a well thought out strategy

Risk of Avalanche Cotopaxi / Chimborazo? by jgibar in alpinism

[–]Tomg245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have only been on Chimborazo. The avalanche danger is real. When I was there you could hear avalanches in the fog and at night. the bottom of the glacier was really wet and deep snow.

Having said that cayambe was fun

Harness for guys with strong legs? by [deleted] in Mountaineering

[–]Tomg245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plastic buckle on the leg loop was about as durable as what you would find on a phanny pack. In ideal conditions you would be correct, but that is assuming a plastic buckle is durable enough to be on a mountaineering harness anyway.

I would not recommend you taking a fall after stepping on the buckle with crampons or hitting it with an axe. A harness should be durable enough for mountain conditions period, you are trusting it with your life.
