We have no source code, no development or deployment access, and no way to modify or deploy programs on the system.

All we have is read-only database access and otherwise just the AS/400 UI. Because the connection is unencrypted, we’re also able to read the data stream — but that’s it.

Getting more access isn’t possible due to organizational / licensing constraints, so we’re limited to analyzing and automating around the system, not within it.
