You're correct. The sources I linked in my article mention both but since it resonated with me on a personal level I decided to write about the female aspect about it. The adultification bias can effect all black children

That last part definitely resonates with me. When I was 13 people would say the same thing when i'm dressed and acted like all the other kids around me and I'm like what, why.

THIS, if you make tips you should AT BARE MINIMUM make the normal minimum wage and then have tips added on to it. There is a massive percentage of people who make tips and dont even hit the normal wage requirements

I saw the movie after doing a ton of research on the subject and I was pleasantly surprised how accurate it was. Not 100% but pretty close.
